I heard this from Andrew Yang in an NYC Mayoral promo, and I think its a brilliant idea, (he is now running for NYC Mayor) after doing some research on the subject.

There should be a Vaccine passport that could either be on your phone or mobile device (or paper if you do not want electronics) that show which vaccines you have (in case the need arises again) and it would allow private establishments (bars, clubs, airlines, casinos, etc.... the kinds of places with many people close together for long periods of time)

This is exciting for two reasons. Establishments can either require your passport to be checked to enter, or to demask in the establishment you can need a passport (meaning unverified people will need a mask).

This is a genius way to encourage vaccinations while leaving the enforcement largely on the private sector (because most major corporations would be pressured to be passport friendly). I honestly would be fine with this for the annual flu shot (even if the whole COVID thing never happened).

Ironically, many tourism boards and local governments are against it because they think it will favor major corporations and make people fearful of local businesses who may not have the tools for robust verification or ways to process "passports".

Sounds to me like something the USSR would make people carry. People who like the rules of their HOA will love it. Regular folks not so much.

This is a great equivalency , perhaps unintentionally. Its the free market. Don't like a club that demands a passport to demask then don't go.
If you don't like a subdivision that requires you to maintain your house in a certain way, don't buy there.

Its the joys of arming the private sector with the ability to properly regulate. Some people will choose to be around people who are healthy and safe and that is our right, just as it is yours's (or whoever) to go to a densely packed club (or casino or whatever) that allow no masks and no checks.
Personally I would pay a door fee just to know that there is a vaccine passport check.

Well, well, well. Biden is now saying what I have been saying for months. And how many losers voted for him because they thought Trump "mishandled" the china virus.

SUCKERS!

How many times did Beijing Biden
say during the campaign, c'mon man,
where's the leadership, all Trump has
to do is lead. He has to have a plan. I have
a plan, I will lead. He said this countless
times. He gets there and oops, he was
lying, his plan is the same as Trump's!

Stealing from others is the only plan he's
had all his life.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

Biden Now Says 'Nothing We Can Do' To Change Pandemic Trajectory

As he was tweeting that scare tactic BS meant to continue their control over the lives and minds and welfare of their simpletons,

“The number of people currently hospitalized with Covid dropped by 2,773 in a single day to 119,927, according to Covid Tracking Project data. The one-week drop of 9,020 was also a record, the data show. And the decrease is accelerating on a percentage basis.”

Nearly 1 million Americans were already getting vaccinated every day, under Trump. Only one month after the rollout. Pfizer alone will produce 1.3 billion vaccines this year.

I'm with Gandler on this one as long as we are talking about private establishments. I'm not saying that I like the idea of this or would patronize those locations, but I am saying that they have every right to do it and it is not a function of Government. It's just free association and many places have barriers to entry.

I would buy your line on rights of a private establishment if you side did not cheer people trying to run a private baker out of business for declining business. Or your side's support of laws forcing businesses to allow anyone in the ladies room. Or your support of a POTUS who will force girl's sports to let boys compete.

Should people have to wear some kind of identification to say if they were vaccinated or not? You know, so people could decide to distance or not?

You all do know that as of now there is no evidence that being vaccinated does not prevent you from being an asymptomatic carrier that can still
transmit the disease? And best case has 1/20 vaccinated people not really having protection? And the newer not yet approved vaccines may not even be that good?

No vaccine passport, please. But I totally agree that a private business can require one for entrance. Then the free market will decide if the business will succeed or fail.

The hospital I worked at placed a color coded sticker on your ID card when you got your annual flu shot. Without it you were required to wear a mask (a real hospital grade one) at all times on the premises. I think October through June.

Glad to see our righties like EB and Duffman seem more concerned about COVID now that their cult leader is just a full-time golfer and no longer POTUS.

Who could have seen that one coming?!

They are not more concerned. Just pointing out the hypocrisy from the left. It is quite easy, frankly. The best example is the person involved in passing the "you gotta wear a mask on federal property" rule, a little later being photographed not wearing a mask on Federal property! And the response of Biden's press secretary.... Something like... "we have more important issues than masks to worry about". I'm NOT making that up!

I am equally concerned today as I was under President Trump. On this matter, the President has very little that he can do. Trump did succeed at propping up the vaccine makers and tearing off the red tape. But there is no way to tell if Biden would have done the same, better, or worse. The one thing I do know is is that as soon as the J and J and Astra Zeneca vaccines are approved, there will be virtually no problem to get the country vaccinated, and the Biden administration will take credit for its great 'distribution' plan.

Correct, my concern has not changed except that Biden seems intent on crashing the economy to look like he is doing something.

That the media is not hanging Biden for going maskless in that scene only proves what we have been saying for years.
