Just yesterday I found out two friends now have Covid. One was vaccinated but not the other.

Yep, people who say the pandemic is over and we're back to normal are living on another planet. Both vaccinated and unvaccinated are getting it, covid doesn't play favorites. Most of my wife's family are Christians and they're probably getting it from church. We now know that talking and singing especially can spread covid in a crowded room. And in church they sing a lot.

Another good reason to avoid religion.

Good chance everyone will get covid. If not this year, then the next. But. there's a big difference in possible outcomes than if you got it in the first 6 months.

Four of my wife's cousins or spouse of cousins is in the hospital with covid. 2 are vaccinated and two are not and they are all on ventilators. China right now is going through a third wave of new cases. People who think we're back to normal are totally wrong. One of my wife's cousins couldn't even get into a local hospital because they're full of covid patients. He had to go to another city.
Are any of these from the family "van" ride spreading event? Or is this from another source ?

This is the part of the family that lives in northern Michigan. They are rabid Christians and go to church every Sunday which I'm absolutely positive is where they're getting covid from. If you're in close quarters with people that are singing and they have covid they are spewing out multiple times as many aerosol particles then if they were not singing.

Yeah, no. In Michigan so far about 12% of the population has gotten covid. You're saying the 88% that's left is going to get it in the next 14 months? I don't think so.
It's a mathematical impossibility. Maybe eventually a decade from now half the population might have gotten it. Maybe. Cuz it's not going away it's just another version of the flu. We will take in little bits of covid-19 here and there and build up a herd immunity to it. The same thing happens when you take a baby to daycare. It gets sick all the time from the other babies and it slowly builds up an immunity. In 1500 it's estimated that over 2 million Native Americans we're living on the Atlantic Shoreline from Maine to Florida. Not far into the future most of them were dead from infectious diseases they had no immunity to. They had no chance to build a herd immunity.

Sooner or later. Yes. Everyone will probably get it. Unless you stay home forever.

Pandemic is over for me. I wear a mask when required but other than that life is 100% back to normal.

So it’s quite amusing to see EB constantly try to stoke fear. You’re about a year too late there, bud. The rest of us have moved on.
