You should take a detour south to the Carlsbad Caverns if it is open. A huge cave with lots of colour. It takes an hour to walk around the main cavern if you are actually looking at things. Its a National Park. You could then stay south and go to Tombstone and see boot hill and the OK corral if you like that type of thing.

Thanks
I am interested in all that

Hey Ed... my ex bought a trailer and is roaming the country. Still has house in Buffalo for a base. I haven’t seen it yet but it’s 29 feet. I have no concept of how big that is. Also, apparently it has no generator and must be plugged in? How big is yours... and does yours have a generator?

23 feet
No generator
iIve been camping in rv's for 2 decades and have never used a generator
if you are camping with a generator
you need to be remote
nobody wants to hear a generator

plugging in, everything runs. if boondocking, cant use AC. no biggie if its cool

Some of the campers I’ve seen online use solar panels that fold up to about the size of a large book. They look more like soft mat material.

solar panels are cheap, no longer have to be in flat arrays ad an internaal five gallon bucket can take care of peak temperatre and humidity problems.

Solar panels are used to charge batteries
Can take a hot shower or have heat
Battery runs water pump and heat fan. Use propane for heat and hot water.
Still no AC

I run it on electricity but can switch to propane if boondocking.
I have to defrost it next week. Yup , old tech. Frost building up. It's been working great. Really depend on it because I like to cook

Do you switch it to propane when towing or does it stay cold long enough?
