Title IX is a demand made by the federal government as a condition of funding, not a demand made by college women athletes. Most college athletes have little to do with fan base. The fact that colleges have strayed from their mission to provide educational opportunity (yes sports is an educational opportunity) and turned football and basketball into big business is no reason to kill women's sports. The mind hungers for that on which it feeds. |

Fascinating When Trumpers follow sports, its all about politics I'm a huge sports fan. Any political affiliation of any athlete is meaningless to me There are probably communists and socialists competing. Could care less. To Trumpers, politics is everything in sports They need politics in sports to know who to root against. YES I'm hugely entertained every 2 years I'm entertained by the incredible sports competitions So far most memorable moment Lydia Jacoby winning gold as her fans in Seward go absolutely nuts. Its great fun and memorable Looking forward to tonight as US takes women's pole vault gold after barely qualifying for the final. I wish 99% of all people would care less about politics. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent. |
