Trump was in the habit of saying he knew more than people in fields other than real estate. Biden was probably worried Trump was in the lab at Pfizer.

I am all for people getting the vaccine. I know too many people who are not getting it .

My wife was terrified of getting the vaccine. She finally relented in May and with the second Pfizer shot she was sick for a week and spent three days of it in bed thinking she was dying. She had a fever coughing fatigue and then after a week it was gone. And then she got covid anyway. The sister who was unvaccinated in the van who gave it to everybody else also gave it to her not vaccinated husband at home. He survived just fine, yet the totally vaccinated sister-in-law died from it.

Yeah it's really easy to figure out what the hell is going on. Not.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

Nah, Biden was probably more worried that Pfizer hired on merit instead of gender and skin color which is how Biden picks people.
The President is a fink.

One of the rightwing news site would be happy to run EB's story because it is nearly completely atypical to what usually happens. Meeting all these people in and around the medical system, all letting him know they are unvaccinated, and the vaccinated seeming unprotected, etc., etc.,

Even the rightwing news sites need SOME legit sources.

EB’s anecdotes would not even satisfy their standards...

While it is hard to figure out all of the "why" info on the lowest levels--what happens to one family or the next--it is not hard at all to see that:

--More unvaccinated people are dying
--More unvaccinated people are in the ICUs
--More unvaccinated people are in hospitals
--More unvaccinated people are infected

--Vaccination does not guarantee you will live if you get COVID, but it increases the chances that you will
--Vaccination does not guarantee that you will not end up in the ICU, but it increases the chances that you will not
--Vaccination does not guarantee that you will not be hospitalized with COVID, but it does decrease the chances that you will
--Vaccination does not guarantee that you will not get infected, but it does reduce the chances and the chances of going up the severity chain

The real science proves these things to be true. It isn't perfect, but there is a lot of pseudo science out there being spread by people that flies in the face of what the totality of science shows at this point in the pandemic. Just because exceptions exist, the science is not incorrect...it is just not perfect.

I do think we ignore the part of science that shows immunity for those who have previously had Covid in the plans the President continues to announce and that is part of what leads people to ignore the rest of the science. He and his administration are not without culpability.

People wearing their seatbelt still die in car accidents everyday.

Yet any sane person buckles up anyway.

You can ride a motorcycle in Florida without insurance if you have a helmet. But need insurance if you don’t. To me, that’s an equitable trade and a model for other requirements.
