This thread has become hilarious
Normal people of reason trying to convince a Trumper that Trump lost.
Normal people of reason trying to convince a Trumper that Jan 6 protest crossed a line that no liberal protestor has ever crossed
Trumpers live in a fantasy world that Trump won and liberals are just as bad as the Jan 6 attackers. No facts or logic is going to change their fantasy.
Facts and logic are meaningless to Trumpers
Its right on display on this board
Yet people that care about facts try and try
Stunning
I saw this years ago and blocked the fantasy
Some of you guys must think of yourselves as Jack Nicholson in cuckoos nest "At least I tried"
That's all you can do is try. Trumpers will never belive any fact Trump himself disputes
Those are the facts of life

Well...what was done at the Capitol Building caused less economic loss and hurt fewer individuals than did burning businesses to the ground in the various riots.

And the British in 1812 did more damage then the Trumpers.
So what
It doesn't change the fact that of all the protests against the govt in DC in over 200 years , only one crossed that sacred line of attacking the capitol
Yea murders in SE cause a lot more human damage
But thats a different subject just like riots that burned businesses.

It's one thing to burn a pharmacy and loot a shoe store; a mob of thousands, fomented and stirred by a rabblerousing speech by the POTUS and his enablers who storm and break into the Capitol is completely different.

Enough with these"false equivalencies."

As Ed said those criminals "crossed a sacred line" in storming the Capitol trying to stop Biden from being certified.

It's beyond Trump just being a big baby and a sore loser: the brain rot has spread via Fox and social media and millions are now infected.

The sad thing is that there's no vaccine for this malady.

Sure there is. Well maybe there is. It's fine to believe things.

And some may think it's fine to act on things you believe strongly in. But if you take serious actions with lack of evidence such as the election is stolen and you go in trying forcibly to occupy the Capitol then everyone gets to play by the same rules of lack of evidence.

And that's a problem. If everyone takes serious actions only believing there probably is evidence. We all end up fubar.

And if you think you're the only one who gets to take serious actions without finding evidence first, you're already beyond stupid. It's beyond just accusations.

If you believe in actions before the evidence, then why shouldn't everyone? There's no good end to that process.

...or to put it another way, accusations and investigations are more than serious annoyances, but it's way preferable to getting dragged off and hanged without evidence, investigation or trial.

We get it. Liberal groups rioting and looting is fine with you. Destroying private property is fine with you. But let there be a demonstration at the Capitol and somehow it is a revolution. But only if it is not a liberal group. Because you say an "invasion" of the Capitol "never happened before Jan 6."

Get over Jan 6 already. Nobody but Trump haters cares.

As to Ed he has stated he is 100% fine with BLM looting and riots, a major reason I blocked him years ago.

"Sacred line," you act like they were burning infants on the cross, or something. Everyone already knows my answer for what to do when peaceful public protest crosses the line into looting and destruction, so I'm consistent.

The best part about giving an adequate amount of time to disperse before gunning down all of those who refuse to do so is not having to have conversations about, "Sacred lines," over a year later. There's nothing, "Sacred," about anything, unless symbolism really means that much to you. Physically, it's a building like any other.

I care 100x more about even just a single person who lost their business (and those made unemployed as a result) than I would care if they had burnt the Capitol Building to the ground. That said, my solution in both situations would have been the same thing. Not quite a solution, but how the out-of-handedness would have been brought to an end.

Anyway, you make a few examples when a protest turns into looting, rioting and destruction, then people think twice next time.

I've protested in DC
There is a protest every single day in DC
Some big, some small, every single day
Everybody knows over 200 years of protests in DC
You don't attack the capitol
Its not like any other building. That's absurd.
