He is funding his war and military buildup, with oil and gas sales to the West.

We aided him by cutting expansion of production here. The Green New Scam is stupid because we have leadership that started cutting things back before we had things in place to replace fossil fuels. You would think we would get smart enough to raise production of non fossil sources before cutting back on their production. Solar and wind are only partial answers because they are too often unavailable at times when you need them most.

Nuclear plants are a better answer for constant production.

Anyway… you are correct.

The every day people they interview on the streets in Ukraine seemed to think this would not happen. I think most of us were convinced that it would happen for a while now. Did they not hear what we heard or have they heard the same long enough just to ignore it?

My guess is Russia has done plenty of military exercises on the borders for years. Many Ukrainians got used to nothing more happening. Or may maybe they only thought it would affect the contested areas.

I seriously doubt it made any difference at all in a country the size and power of Russia. We have enough trouble trying to economically damage smaller rogue countries effectively.

Is Cuba still an outpost for Russia?. Maybe we should tell Putin, we’’re sending in “peacekeepers” to quell unrest. Finish that bay of pigs project.

Fox was on in the locker room at the gym.

Apparently this is all Biden’s fault. He’s “weak” They kept saying “weak.” Weak weak weak. Putin gets no blame.

The UN Security Council is going to vote on a resolution condemning Russia for the invasion.

Of course, Russia will veto it…

Texas has GDP about the size of Russia. Their economy can be hurt because they are not the behemoth the USSR was. We did not need their oil just a year or so ago. We can only do so much but we can’t do much at all if we are dependent on them for oil. Drill. Frack. Pursue new energy sources. Cut off as much money as we can. Be less reliant on China and Russia. Will not happen if j a day, but we need to do it. Produce, with our true partners, have to have products. Only buy non-essentials from those guys so we can turn off the spigot or at least turn it down a bit.

Make NATO stronger.

No softballs in today’s questions for the President. I still think he is behind on imposing sanctions, but maybe this set will help…

…but a month or so to see if the sanctions work?
