My Manager is a BLACK woman, I should have REALLY compared her to a Black pretty woman, not Judy Garland. My Manager is kind of like pretty like the 90's Vivica A Fox. 😀 I chose Judy Garland to compare how my manager has pretty girl next door looks. But yeah, my manager looks MUCH closer to 90's Vivica A Fox than she does Judy Garland. 😀 AZ, sorry but my Manager is in a long-term relationship with her boyfriend, so she's not on the market. 😉

Could have just lead with her being black and Duffman would have never inquired.

It is already a nogo for me so no loss either way. But glad you are working for someone smart.

I was remiss not to mention that she also has a Son. He's a grown son, but still a son, so you probably wouldn't have wanted to date someone who already has a grown son anyway. 😉

I just got 48 covid tests in the mail that I didn't even order. $150 worth. They must have come from my insurance company. They must not think of it is over.

No, they must have gotten a government kickback for sending them out.

Still vaxfree here!

When did YOU first learn about Coronavirus/Covid? 🤔 I first heard of it from Vegas Casino Talk of all places in late January when Rob Singer said something like,"Idiots still going on Cruises with the Coronavirus starting to circle the world deserve to test positive for it." I personally had never heard of Coronavirus until that post and I was thinking,"What's a Coronavirus? Does Rob mean the Noravirus/stomach flu? Is there a bad Noravirus breakout? 🤔 I went on Google and Coronavirus was a trending topic. I remember thinking,"There's that Coronavirus word again that Rob mentioned earlier." I soon found out that Coronavirus was MUCH worse than the Noravirus! 😱 In hindsight, there were little clues I saw in early January before I saw Rob's post mentioning it. A Customer bought about 10 boxes of masks. I was thinking,"Um, freak, why the hell are you buying 10 boxes of masks? 🤨 I saw a bus driver wearing a mask and I automatically assumed she was sick. I remember hearing that there was a VERY bad Flu Season going on. I soon found out that the "Very bad flu season," was actually Coronavirus. I mentioned this on another Website and Posters wondered how I didn't know what Coronavirus/Covid was until Rob's post in late January when Coronavirus was already trending by very early January. I mentioned that I thought it was just a very bad flu season.

Can't point to an exact time I heard about the china virus. I remember reading here or there about people mostly on the west coast obsessing about some virus. Mostly stories about how you needed to wash your hands long and suggested singing the alphabet song to time it. Then a few YT videos on "flattening the curve."

Then I lost my scheduled dealing gigs. I remember wishing I did not take one or two of them then thinking if they held up it would be a miracle. Then they canceled. Then the St Patrick's Day parade canceled. Stories came faster and faster. President Trump went on TV. After that mandatory "send the office home" orders.

Those orders were for a fairly fast shutdown. We got a little extra time, a day or two, to get everyone home as we were critical to the economy. Just a normal office, but if we closed tight the financial system would seize up, we had that much market share. We were sent home on a Friday, packing things up while still trying to get work done. I was lucky as I worked from home before that job so still had a work area all set up. Just needed a better chair, which I boosted from my desk. Left the job since, still have that chair!

The next Monday little work got done as everyone was trying to get their home office working. I had to go buy some parts to get my home monitors to work as I declined taking home the new ones they offered everyone since I had them already. Calling IT and running to WMT then a local place. The local place would not "see" me but said I had to pick up the part in a drop-box. An early "contactless" visit. Took all day but was up and running.

I live near my main street. By that weekend almost everything was closed up tight. The grocery store was limiting people allowed inside so I shopped early on Saturdays. It was weird, like the Germans had invaded and you got just so much time to do your business then were not allowed on the street.

Work from home slowly got to normal but issues. Since they said this was for just 2 weeks to "flatten the curve" you did not bring everything from your desk. 2 weeks became 2 months. We had a training by late spring. I went to my desk which was empty (we had maybe 20% of normal in the office.) Surreal feel. Calendar still said March. Kind of like if someone dies and you find their calendar marked and last pill taken from the pill minder, etc, but you are looking at yourself.

2 weeks became 2 months which became 2 years. We had to go in a week a month eventually, but that was such a waste. New hires struggled to learn the job more, vets like myself chugged along. Interest rates changed. I saw the collapse coming same as Mark Baum did in the movie. I found a new gig and gave notice.

Barely 10 weeks later 80% of the place was let go.

I work out daily at a health and fitness center which is part of an upscale retirement community.

Today I was met outside by a masked employee who said a virulent covid outbreak was occurring; the fitness center was open but I passed: too risky.

From seven to thirty cases in a day, and the number continues to soar.

No, covid is not over, at least not in Portland.

Reminds me of those ticks that are killing cattle all the sudden.

They don't want us to eat meat.
