Walker claims he has no idea who this woman could be. So the Daily Beast went to their source for a comment. She was blown away that Herschel doesn't remember her. Why couldn’t the Republicans have figured out a way to nominate a nondescript run of the mill candidate without a bushel of skeletons in his closet? I’d have bet on virtually any candidate to oust Warnock. Between Walker and Oz the Republicans might have picked the ONLY two candidates that would lose their respective races. Maybe they will nominate Palin for Prez in 2024? |

Because it's the Trumper party The republican party is DEAD. As long as Trump is alive, he will always command the party. Walker is Trumps candidate so therefore he is the Senate candidate. Nothing Republicans that aren't Trumpers can do. What remains to be seen is if Trump party remains the Trump party after Trump is gone but that's another story. For the foreseeable future, its the Dem party vs the Trump party. Conservatives that are not Trumpers are now a small portion of the electorate.
