Is the Seminole Tribe wealthy?

Today, the Seminole may be guarded about sharing tribal information with outsiders, but they were smart enough to hire a non-native chief executive for their gambling operations. They are the third richest tribe in the country behind the Mohegan and the Shakopee Mdewakanton
__

Why is Shakopee so rich?

It is a sovereign and federally recognized tribe located southwest of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, within parts of Shakopee and Prior Lake in Scott County, Minnesota. The main sources of income of the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community are gambling and resorts.
__

How much is the Shakopee monthly payment?

$84,000 a month [what!?]

How much do Pechanga tribe members make?

Pechanga was already the largest resort/casino in Calif. The expansion doubles the size of its resort offerings. Cuevas' tribe operates the Pechanga Resort and Casino, the largest in California. By some estimates, it earns from $1-2 billion annually and pays allotments to each tribal member of $300,000 or more a year

The "Butterfly Effect" was first suggested by **Edward Norton Lorenz**, a theoretical meteorologist from North America¹³⁴⁵. He coined the term in the 1960s while studying weather patterns at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology⁵. The concept came to be known as the "butterfly effect" after Lorenz suggested that the flap of a butterfly's wings might ultimately cause a tornado². His work challenged the classical understanding of nature and became the founding principle of chaos theory². The term "butterfly effect" took flight in 1987, thanks to James Gleick’s best seller ‘Chaos: Making a New Science’¹.

You could probably apply to emotional responses. You randomly throw a rock in the woods, it lands near a bird, bird flies up into a nearby Deer which then runs out onto a nearby highway into a section of fast-moving rush hour highway traffic, then massive chain reaction, then truck filled with noxious chemicals overturns, town has to be evacuated.

There are also all sorts of stored energy in the world, waiting to be tipped into kinetic energy.

For anyone who has struggled with outdoor Christmas lights a rain.

Never put up outdoor lights in my life. I had the urge a few times but I had a few drinks and the urge went away. Haven't done decorations of any kind probably since the '80s. My wife on the other hand, where she lives it takes her 3 days to put all her stuff up. And then of course she dreads taking it down. I've learned that not bothering with it at all is the proper solution.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

There are a few companies out there that are ready to go with drilling deep wells using microwaves, drilling deep into the Earth's crust to use the heat to run steam generators. The heat is expected to last longer than it will take the Sun to engulf the Earth, millions of years from now. I am hopeful these experiments work.

another case of finding myself using this word and I don't know where it came from, it just came out of me

below seems like two different theories of origin, I like the second one

>>>

Word History perhaps alteration of jiminy, gemini, mild oath, probably euphemism for Late Latin Jesu domine Jesus Lord! First Known Use. 1681, in the meaning defined above. Time Traveler. The first known use of criminy was in 1681.
__

What does the saying Jesus criminy mean?

Christ's money

A minced oath from "Christ's money", in reference to the silver that Judas was paid for betraying Jesus.
