So how does it work? Is this delivered by a courier or a parcel company? Does the food come fresh or frozen? What about spices? Are veggies chopped? Is anything pre-cooked?

Just out fo curiosity. I don't know of any such service that delivers tow here I live.

I think its UPS but not sure
My understanding
All veggies fresh and uncut, have to cut them myself
Nothing pre cooked
all spices included
I only supply butter, salt, pepper and oil
Meat probably in vacuum sealed bag and kept cold with dry ice

The only veggies I eat are the bad ones such as potatoes and corn. I have avoided others veggies and salads for the last 35 years. I am the stereotypical picture of poor health.

Coincidentally, my FB feed yesterday had a quip about these services: We charge you restaurant prices, you do the cooking.

That's not entirely fair, as, prices aside, they also spare you the shopping, and give you the portions for a recipe.

Still, not for me. I'm very particular about produce (the main reason why I don't shop for groceries online). and two, I often like to play "cook whatever you can find in the fridge and the pantry."
