Wonder Woman -- I loved it.

Me too. Best super hero movie since The Dark Knight. Maybe even better. Gal Gadot absolutely nailed it. A different telling to the story than I was expecting and a refreshing change. Wonder Woman herself was different too -- more aggressive and independent. At the showing I went to the audience applauded at the end.

Chris Pine carries this, as he does in every
movie he's in. The little girl certainly
could not have. Here's most of the
movie in 15min:

WW made $223 mil on opening weekend,
which means a billion before the month
is over, which means at least 3 sequels.
I wonder how these play in Germany,
don't they ever tire of being the
eternal bad guys in these kinds of
movies. I'm sure she kicks Nazi heinie
in the next one.

Of course. Germans are the easy bad guys in any movie. Given that this took place in World War I, it seemed the logical choice. I've never directly asked a German this, but I don't think they really care about it.

Pirates has made $500mil in it's first 9
days worldwide, no worry about that
franchise going anywhere. Money in
the bank every time.

Wonder Woman was so good, it makes me want to go back and rewatch Batman vs. Superman (which I hated), just to see the scenes with Wonder Woman.

The scene where she goes into No Man's Land and just proceeds to kick all sorts of butt made me want to cheer.

Good god. That's the reason I don't see this
crap. Computer fantasy land where they
can make anybody look like they're
doing anything. A real heroic act looks
lame now because of all the CGI fake
crap the movies spew at us. In reality
your 115 pound 'kicking butt' heroine
would be hiding behind the nearest tree
waiting for a man to come a save her.

A guy I knew in HS was posthumously
awarded the Medal of Honor because
he threw himself on a grenade that was
thrown into his group in Vietnam. That's
a hero, not some little girl made to look
like she has like she has super powers and
can win a war single handed.

You're not the target audience for this movie. No one cares why you don't want to see it.

Evenbob would see it if Ann Coulter played Wonder Woman, CGI or no.

Of course such casting would turn the movie into a horror comedy b movie even without a script change.
