Nope
Cruise couldn't kick anybodys ass
Big difference between
Small and weak

Cruise has one of the best bods in Hwood,
weak he is not.

If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

I'm finally doing it, blocking you. You
post just to say nothing but inanities.
Look up the word, you have no idea
what it means.

. That's what I liked
about the LOTR books, the few
women there were acted like women.
The movies were good in that regard
also.

I sometimes wonder about the depiction of women in more ancient times. Life was hard and they worked hard and it probably made them tough. Plus if your women were taking the opportunity to clobber the heads or slash the throats of enemies, it would have helped out a lot in a raid in defending their homes from invaders.

But I wasn't there.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

Wonder woman is actually the lowest opening weekend of the four films of the DC extended universe. But it is the best reviewed, so the hope is that it will sell more tickets after the first three days.

Special interest or just plain bad movies sell their tickets in the first weekend where promotion matters more than quality of the movie

Fifty Shades of Grey, the previously most successful debut of a woman directed film (before Wonder Woman) burnt out domestically very quickly although it had a massive international audience especially in countries where women don't see a lot of porn.

Number of Tickets Opening Weekend - Name of Film - Number of tickets after opening weekend

The reality is that the women were spending most of their time preparing food and raising babies. Even the Spartans didn't train their women to swing swords or wear armor, but they would throw javelins.

There were women warriors among the nomadic tribes in what is the steppes of the Urals today:
Smithsonian Magazine
Quote:

(In) the early 1990s... a joint U.S.-Russian team of archaeologists made an extraordinary discovery while excavating 2,000-year-old burial mounds—known as kurgans—outside Pokrovka, a remote Russian outpost in the southern Ural Steppes near the Kazakhstan border. There, they found over 150 graves belonging to the Sauromatians and their descendants, the Sarmatians. Among the burials of “ordinary women,” the researchers uncovered evidence of women who were anything but ordinary. There were graves of warrior women who had been buried with their weapons. One young female, bowlegged from constant riding, lay with an iron dagger on her left side and a quiver containing 40 bronze-tipped arrows on her right. The skeleton of another female still had a bent arrowhead embedded in the cavity. Nor was it merely the presence of wounds and daggers that amazed the archaeologists. On average, the weapon-bearing females measured 5 feet 6 inches, making them preternaturally tall for their time.

One way to rate a movie is what percentage of total tickets were sold in the first three days. Movies with loyal audiences that are susceptible to promotion sell up to half their tickets in the first three days.

Older movies, family movies, and movies with good word of mouth or good reviews make more money after the first three days. The movie is often said to have "legs".

This list the 100 strongest opening weekends.

EB wants to pretend Cruise is a big tough guy in real life

OMG what's with all the Tom Cruise hate here? TC does great movies. I think he pulled off Jack Reacher just fine even though the character was written for a much larger guy. Edge of Tomorrow, Oblivion, Last Samurai, War of the Worlds, Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol, and on and on and on.....TC makes friggin' great movies. I don't get the hate at all. Everything I've ever read on him says he's a humble, professional actor who bonds with his underlings in every movie. Sure...Scientology is silly, but that's separate from Hollywood in my opinion. His movies are AWESOME.

Never seen a Cruise movie I didn't like.
He can play anything from comedy
to drama to sci fi. Terapined has no
idea what he's talking about. Just
saw Samurai for the 3rd time last
week. Saw E of T at least 5 times.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.
