Eastwood added no extra melodrama, like making Sully a drunken transexual or something. He was a hugely well experienced pilot who did his job. He couldn't figure what all the fuss was about. I have watched Long Strange Trip Its pretty good but believe it or not, at 4 hours, its way way too short The list of stuff missing or left out I think is enormous. Bruce Hornsby. He only played with them over a hundred times Merle Saunders - Great friend and helped Jerry relearn the guitar after his diabetic coma. They also did some albums together and played together Mickey Hart leaving for a few years because his father managed the band and ripped them off Vince Welnick, played Keys 90 to 95. Not enough Bob Weir songs. He wrote and sang 1/2 the songs. typical show they alternate, bob song, jerry song, bob song, jerry song ect. Bob wrote a lot of their classics Fare thee well , reunion at Soldier Field to celebrate 50 yr anniversary. Killer shows. I was there. Front Street , their recording studio in San Raphael. Mountain Girl - 1st wife Debra Koons Garcia- the last wife lot more missing but overall, its a massive subject and they did a good job Sometimes we live no particular way but our own - Grateful Dead "Eyes of the World" |

Absolutely. and some movies I've loved, required an atomic-powered, double-wide construction crane assisted by anti-gravity and tractor beams to suspend that kind of disbelief. It's not that I don't believe people can sing and dance spontaneously to carry out a conversation, have an argument or make a point (I don't). it's that the mere thought of doing so is so absurd that I laugh about it. One thing about musical numbers in Futurama and The Simpsons is they poke fun at the genre. Not only with snide asides, but also with the content. Like the NYC ep where they see a musical about drug rehab: Judge (singing): I should put you away where you can't kill or maim us But this is L.A. and you're rich and faaaaaaaaaaaaaamous. Or this one in Futurama's "Hell is Other Robots." This bit takes place while Leela and Fry are sliding down a chute that leads to Robot Hell: Fry: I don't feel well. Leela: It's up to us to rescue him. Fry: Maybe he likes it here in Hell. Leela: It's us who tempted him to sin. Fry: Maybe he's back at the motel. Leela: Come on, Fry, now don't be scared I'm sure at least one of us will be spared So just sit back and enjoy the ride. Fry: My ass has blisters from the slide! Like, isn't that content inappropriate for a cheery song? I find Opera hilarious as well.
Most techniques for building suspense in most movies are transparent and predictable, merely stretching things out intolerably. Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |

Oh, I'm not interested in changing your mind! You like what you like. I know a few people who have no interest in musicals. In this scene, Desiree meets Fredrik and asks if he still wants to be "rescued" from his life. Fredrik answers honestly that he loves Desiree, but only as a dream. Hurt and bitter, Desiree can only reflect on the nature of her life |

You don't like impossible tasks? Actually I'm just explaining, not arguing. It is a bit of a sore spot, because my father loved musicals and made us watch many of them. All the while I had to try to keep from laughing. Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |

Waste of time, Nareed said he doesn't get the genre, it's over his head. Don't rub it in that he just can't understand it. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Can I start referring to EvenBob as "she?" Seems only fair after this post... Cause that'd be fuuuun. And with her newfound love of La La Land and her obsession with Downton Abbey, maybe I'm on to something... “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |
