Lefties are the only ones who get freaked out because the weather changes lol

i'd wager "weather" has produced more human misery than war. Far far far more than terrorists threats or illegal immigration and other things rightwngers obsess about.

So if we are, or are not affecting the "weather" is and will continue to be a top concern.

That's ridiculous. Weather events are
fast and over quickly. Wars can and
do last for years and even decades,
making everyday life miserable.

Events like the Dust Bowl were caused
by poor planting methods. Farmers
destroyed the grass that held the soil
in place and never put up wind breaks
to keep it from blowing away. When
the inevitable drought hit, they were
screwed.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

Calculated at 1.585.3 billion dollars 1980-2018

certainly more important than terrorism or illegal immigration.

For someone like you who doesn't believe in human caused climate change that's a curious example.

Narrow minded farmers focused on crops not windbreaks. You can sell crops but can't sell trees. Open a farmer's front door and crops were planted right up to the house. Government buyers needed acreage planted for WWOne and farmers wanted to cash in on the boom. What the use of being a steward of the land when everyone else is getting rich? Even the farming itself was based on false notions of routine rainfall in the area. Plant all the windbreaks you want when miles of dust clouds dump dust onto your farm, the windbreaks won't help.

It wasn't a weather event, we did nothing
to effect the weather. It's like leaving your
cars top down when it rains, how is that
the weathers fault. A hurricane hits, that's
a weather event, has nothing to do with
anything we did or didn't do. People
act like big weather events are new. Hardly..

No doubt you'd have also been one of the farmers last to figure out how you helped cause the dust bowl.

It is where I went to school. And while not “proper” you can say 4,500 million for effect.

The pro GW crowd will dislike the later as it shows how small and short. their temp measurements really are.

Since you expressed it correctly here, I assume you realize your original statement was off by several orders of magnitude, but I knew what you meant.

Decimal place accuracy aside, I have to disagree with your main point that it's the climate science adherents that aren't taking a long enough view.
When we emerged from the ice age about 11,000 years ago global temperatures rose about 5 deg F over a 7000 year period. Global temperature is now up 1.4 deg F in less than 200 years. The rapid temperature increase coincides with a steep increase in CO2 concentration that is now much higher than it's been in the last 800,000 years. (It probably hasn't been this high in at least 5,000,000 years) Our species has never experienced anything like this.

You are about to hear the argument that indirectly observed temperatures can not be accurate.

We do not know accurate temp readings for over 150 years ago. We never will as nobody measured and kept records. CO2 is just one variable. Solar activity is another, and you are again talking 4.5 billion years, this time with accurate measurement for maybe 80. This is similar to saying the stock market has "never gone up like this in history!" with less than 1 minute of data.

I will keep beating it, GW believers are listening to alarmists who fly private jets and live in mansions. Your leaders are not taking it serious, why are you?
