Um….. you are aware he let it bob around unfettered throughout our skies? Waiting days to let it finish its mission and THEN shooting it down is NOT defending our skies. Your posts show a lack of even rudimentary critical thinking.

Umm…

The Pentagon tracked the balloon, jammed its signal, and gathered information on it before shooting it down over open water where there would be no civilian casualties.

Keep listening to the dumbasses on Fox News though. It’s working out well for you…

And still no mention of the times this happened during Donny’s presidency from out righties!

Biden’s BLS 517K jobs number are government propaganda. Biden needed some good news for his State of the Union speech tomorrow and the BLS provided it. The ADP payroll numbers posted two days before the BLS, were only 106K. BLS numbers are usually higher because they include government jobs. But not 400K higher.

The unemployment rate of 3.4% is likewise more government propaganda. The broader U6 unemployment rate, surged to 7.4% in January.

Record number of Americans worse off financially, since Biden took office.

Glad you were able to pick that up.

We lost 2.5 million jobs.

But the December seasonality jobs and adjustment skewed the numbers to look positive.

They can pretty much regulate numbers through pumping markets artificially.

The central bank is supposedly in a taper mode, which would be opposite of pumping.

But by the looks of the recent market explosion to the upside and the advertised job numbers, a normal person could think the opposite of reality.

But yeah, we are in trouble.

The easiest way to see this is the 10-2 Treasury yield close to the bottom of its inversion.

Steven King was very severely injured, and nearly killed, when he was hit by a van in 1999, while taking a walk. He suffered a wide gash on his forehead, broken ribs, broken bones in his right hip and leg, and a punctured lung. He was in pain for years. Probably still is.

When a train carrying some Republican Congressmen collided with a garbage truck in 2018, killing the truck driver, King tweeted,

“A trainload of Republicans on their way to a pricey retreat hit a garbage truck,” “My friend Russ calls that karma.”

Announcing layoffs can be good for stocks and markets.

Dell announced 6500 this morning.

But the danger are the ones that have not announced, so they're still carrying more downside weight.

Consider Apple.

I'd expect them to announce a huge number anytime in the near future.

What these large firms do is layoff employees while increasing their stock buybacks.

It gives the illusion the economy and markets have rebounded.

By the way, most of the buybacks are financed.

Meaning they have debt.

Hopefully not too much trouble

"Economists have predicted ten of the last three recessions." -Steve Morse

The Fed is still tapering. Down another $37 billion last week. Unless they're keeping a second set of books. Always possible.

The 10yr vs 2yr inversion reflects a lack of faith in the future economy.

Current 1yr Treasury yield is 4.856%, state and city tax free. Which for someone living in NYC, is equivalent to a stock dividend of 5.48%.

Tanko, that's scary.

Another possibility is there are two funds.

One we know about and another we don't know about.

I am not referring to the plunge protection team.

Something like a covert European elite fund.

Central Bank Liquidity Swaps are a bit like that.

The Fed was established in 1913

An after effect of WW1, was the establishment of Central Banks in Europe. Which may have been the main reason for wrecking Europe in the first place.
