The Senate vote was 65-32. The House approved it hours earlier 256-167. President Trump is expected to sign the measure.

Just a few hours ago the reports were that Trump was threatening to veto the bill.

I am considering a VETO of the Omnibus Spending Bill based on the fact that the 800,000 plus DACA recipients have been totally abandoned by the Democrats (not even mentioned in Bill) and the BORDER WALL, which is desperately needed for our National Defense, is not fully funded.

You know he doesn't care a bit about DACA though.

If he did veto it, though, it would bring up something I find interesting. Would some people who voted against the original bill tell trump where to stick it and vote to override the veto? Would the people in the minority relish the chance to get their way (or rather prevent the majority from getting their way) or would they decide that even though they voted against it, nothing better would come along later (and there isn't much time for later right now) that they should let it pass?

Well, he signed it, and then had a news conference that someone described as "incoherent babbling"

I don't think that's likely at all, even if it means shutting down the government for two weeks.

So just the regular trumpian SNAFU, right? For those who don't know, SNAFU stands for Situation Normal: All F***d Up.

I wonder if he realizes that threatening to veto a bill and then signing it, makes him look weak, cowardly and ineffective.

Over 2000 page bill [again] dropped on congress the night before the vote. At least Rand Paul tries to read it and tweeted about the billions and billions of waste ;http://theantimedia.org/rand-paul-live-tweeting-spending-bill/

I forgot to say "spend spend spend" in my original post.

Yes, plenty of pork barrel bribes in there to buy votes from both sides.

Iowa family of four apparently all died during their first night at Mexican condominium but were not missed until failure to attend a family function several days later. No wounds. No cherry red skin so its not likely to be carbon monoxide. Probably its another one of these strong insecticides being used indoors or near windows and air vents. Warning labels may be in English but even if in Spanish the workers may not be literate and may not much care about the dangers.

Insecticide? Why should Putin fool with more complex manufacturing of nerve agents if there is something that can off a family of 4 that easily?

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Marion "Suge" Knight has lost another defense lawyer — his 15th — and the three-year wait for his murder trial to start will grow even longer.
Judge Ronald S. Coen released attorney Dominique Banos on Friday, citing a conflict of interest.
Banos says she believes she is a target in the witness-tampering investigation that led to the indictment and removal of two of Knight's lawyers. She denies any wrongdoing.
The judge appointed a 16th attorney, Robert DeBlanc. But Knight said he has already privately hired yet another, without giving his name.
The Death Row Records co-founder has pleaded not guilty to murder and attempted murder for running over two men outside a Compton burger stand in 2015.

I've got a sneaking suspicion the world is better off the longer this guy is off the streets.
