+1, LOL!

The sad thing though is that there are 65+ million terapineds who voted for Obama in 2012 and who will vote for whatever socialist the Dems nominate in 2016. Pretty darn sad, if you ask me. *facepalm*

Hey terapined, take a look at this:

Gay marriage supporters will appeal ruling on Louisiana ban
(FYI, multiple news outlets—including the LA Times, USA Today, New York Times, etc—have reported about this pro-gay marriage appeal)

According to your warped logic, isn't this an example of pro-gay marriage "spin"???????

*I don't really expect an answer from terapined. He'd rather block people instead of presenting sound, logical arguments. *facepalm*
Evenbob, a valuable poster in my opinion.

Obama to delay action on amnesty until after election.

So, if the Democrats say the GOP must support amnesty or else lose elections forever, why is Obama not going to do anything until AFTER the elections? If it is such a winner, wouldn't he do it right away?

The internal polls on immigration must be changing. If it was favorable to the Democrats to take action, President Obama would be all over it. If it is ambivalent or against action, he doesn't want to hurt his side's candidate. If "everyone" thought granting amnesty was such a great thing, there would be no reason to do it "later"... The GOP doesn't have to support "amnesty" even if they do help come up with a plan for protecting our borders, respecting a common language, and letting people become "Americans" and not more "hyphen-Americans" under the right conditions.

The amnesty people don't seem to understand that illegals break laws left and right, get tossed back across the way, and come in and break laws again. You've got to stop that. In contrast, our friends in Mexico have detained a guy who crossed the border for months for months on less serious charges than we allow "catch and release" for... Our border policy and protection sucks.

Odd that this didn't make the news...

Runaway plane again today. The Glazer's, owners of most of Rochester, apparently suffered depressurization and hypoxia. The plane was picked up by F-16's out of McEntire, SC, which were relieved by F-15's out of Homestead. The F-15's reported that the glass was frosted up and pilot was slumped over. Plane ran out of gas and crashed just outside of Jamaica a few hours ago.

Didn't this same thing happen to some golf pro about 15 years ago?

Who are the Glazers? I don't remember hearing of them.

Payne Stewart.

Don't know if there is a connection but the Glazer family is huge here in Tampa.
Own the football team Bucs and bought Manchester United.

Could be. I didn't recognize them myself. They were headed to their other home in Naples, so it's plausible.

That may explain why there used to be ads in the paper there saying they were for a subsidiary of the Tampa Bay Bucs. I always wondered what the scam was with it.

If these accurate predictions came from a Democrat president, the liberal media would be playing this video in a continuous loop 24/7.

If he had declared Mayday or Pan Pan Pan would he have been processed to a lower altitude sooner?

Pilot didn't seem to understand the significance of the error message and the urgency of his seeking a lower altitude for normal pressure.

I don't see why cabin pressure is not tested sooner. If pressure is not building sufficiently and staying high, an alarm should sound.

25K seems too high for a "warning" other than "You are probably unconscious right now".

My friends involved have been told to say nothing to anyone, so I can't address your particular question on this event. In general, had the pilot made any indication of distress, whether through phraseology or through how he sounded, ATC would've declared the emergency even if he didn't and acted expeditiously. If he had said he had pressurization problems, even if he didn't declare an emergency, they would've had him descend below 14K, probably down to 10K, as quickly as he could, and get his head right again. I don't know what got said, though I think the tapes are out there already.

Re: alarm. More to the point, I'm kind of surprised the autopilot doesn't have a fail-safe where, if the cabin pressure indicates it's too low either in absolute values or trending towards it, that it doesn't change the squawk to "mayday" and descend the aircraft to 14K or lower, and have to be manually overridden. If an aircraft is up where the air is that thin, 99+% of the time they're being worked by ATC and on radar (over and near land, anyway), and ATC will get everybody else out of their way and sort it out later. What's with the aircraft just continuing to cruise with unconscious or dead pilot aboard at altitude until fuel exhaustion? Wrong default position on the programming IMO.
