California throuple reveal they are set to MARRY after six years together

Saw some film on this back in HS, film was made in the 1960s.

I thought polygamy was illegal.

Why should it be? Are you saying we should deny people the right to marry who they love?

I oppose any weird & illogical form of marriage, but like I said in another post, I'm at the point where I just don't give a sh*t anymore. If something as crazy as same sex marriage can be legal, why can't polygamy?? Hell, let's just legalize everything!*

*I'm dead serious about this

I know this may sound horrible when you first hear it, but I honestly want to see society collapse in my lifetime. Because that way we can rebuild it that much sooner.

Without religion or a cult, a relationship like that will be about as common as it's ever been.

Both those things have the power to involve a much greater number of people with a religious basis or cult leader. You'd never convince so many of the women in Colorado City into Polygamy if someone hadn't convinced them the will of God was requiring it. Nor in Muslim countries. Also it's part of the Old Testament life as
well.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

The article is not really "polygamy." Polygamy is having more than one spouse, almost always a guy with multiple wives. This is A marries B, B marries C, C marries A. So it is Polygamy in a way, but it is more than that.

Still, I have to say any pro-gay marriage argument I have heard simply must by extension support polygamy and an arrangement like this. They love each other. They want to marry who they choose. The current laws discriminate against their lifestyle. It is none of your business. Who are you to say it is bad for their kids, if any?

Change my mind.

I am ok with it, but I think marriage needs to have a legal contract detailing rights and responsibilities, and rules for handling dissolution. All up front.

That is called a prenup.

States have laws for property distribution beyond that.

So A has more than one spouse,
that's the definition of polygamy.

You are right, I do not really try

I have been on countless dating sites (even the ones you have to pay to subscribe to) and receive zero responses (well, that is not true, I get responses from catfish or people trying to get me to subscribe to porn sites or send them my bank account information)

Dating requires time + finances

It seems, over the past couple of years I have had either time OR finances, but never at the same time

Finally, worthy of post 10000!

Agree! 100%! I was doing MGTOW for years before I knew what MGTOW was!

Dating sites, yes, a waste of time. Reply, reply, reply, and keep getting ignored. I do know one guy said he had great luck, I have had next to none. At best you get a 10% reply rate. At best. Of that 10%, maybe 1 in 10 results in a date. How do you get to there?

You start by reading the ads. Too many of the women on there are undatable. You are either not attracted to them or something else. If you have a "no single moms rule" just fughetabaddit. Lots have their kids right in their profile, saying right out that their kids will be more important than you will be, ever.

So lets say you get past that. Too many want to play games for too long. I had at least one said I seem to be "a normal person." Women have told me they get some awful replies so I will buy they have their guard up. But do the ones that say you "seem normal" want to move forward? Like pulling teeth. To meet in a public place for coffee is too much. You are just out the subscription cash.

Maybe try speed dating? Not much better. Went once, almost got my pic in "The Wall Street Journal" at it, true story! Made one match, she never answered or returned a call. The thing is they begged men to show up at speed dating. A guy I worked with knew the woman running it and told me the wait list for women was long, men could call the last day and get a slot. Money down the drain.

Go to "singles events?" Been there, done that. Most of the women hanging with their girlfriends thru them. Went to a singles wine class, it snowed. Two of us. She had the same last name as me.

Slightly better luck on other things, but in the end it all filters to the same thing. Too many of the women out there are undatable. Baggage of one kind or another. At the same time, once you learn to be alone there is far less reason to even try. AoS seems to still be trying. I quit trying around 8 years ago, though my "trying" tapered off well before that.

Go MGTOW. Go ghost. Call it whatever you want. It is +EV.

Maybe I am truly MGTOW -- hmmmm

I think a true test is asking "do I see anything to be gained in marriage/relationship besides getting laid."

It helps if you never wanted kids. Some people say marriage without kids is a waste of time. I don't totally agree there, but I think the statement is right more than wrong.

You know how libbies are. They don't care about logic or being consistent, so I can see them opposing polygamy even if you throw their own gay marriage argument in their faces. They don't care. They have no shame.
