I don’t know one person who’s ever said they “love” wearing a face mask.

Let’s just file this as another Duffman “exaggeration” to try to make a point….

"The mask gives us a sense of security and makes us feel more comfortable," Smerling said. "We can be a little bit more private and a little bit more selective in how we want to show our faces."

She said some people appreciate that masks free them up from social niceties like smiling at others. Mask-wearing may also help reinforce a sense of community.

"Love" might be too strong for many who will continue to mask after the pandemic, though I did find (with the simplest of searches) articles behind paywalls that mentioned "loving" masks in the title...

Masks are also great for the criminal element--a mask and a hat help cover up their identities as the attack stores and steal stuff. So they may "love" using them in their chosen line of work.

No they don't. "Appreciating" a mask and "loving" a mask is not "hating" a mask.

I see lots of those smart people wearing masks alone in their cars. I can't see that as "hate" or even "dislike"...if they are "smart" to be wearing a mask in the first place, wouldn't it follow that the would also be "smart" to take something they "hate" off as soon as it was safe?

Do you dispute that required masking helps criminals at least a little bit? Maybe that is why Psaki says that Covid is a "root cause" of the crime sprees out there.

I got so use to wearing one, I've not always remembered to take it off. And if I was stopping in the next couple minutes sometimes I just left it on. Only thing that puzzles me is people wearing them while riding bikes. But maybe it's the smog, or allergies.

Our governor learned her lesson last year about masks, she
ain't going down that road again. She's up for re-election next year.

Every MI car owner getting a $400 check next year. She’s definitely up for re-election.

Edit: to say - I support handouts from politicians in election years. Why not?

Ha! As if you had to worry about me coming there. I’ll never visit Oregon as long as I live, much less move to the miserable hellhole.

I've been there the negatives far outweigh the positives.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

This is kind of fascinating:

56% of Mississippi’s population is white. They make up 70% of new COVID cases, up from 25% of cases in May 2020.

Black vaccination rates exceed white vaccination rates in MS.

Again: survival of the smartest.

I'm not disagreeing, but for the chart to make more sense, I reckon it should be normalised for the populations by race.

April 2020 was when Donny suggested his supporters drink bleach and stick a UV flashlight up their ass.

June 2020 was when he started his rallies again and killed Herman Cain.

What changed was that he was desperate for an easy solution, there weren’t any, so he started pretending Covid didn’t exist.

Just shows how Trump can't handle a crisis
This was the crisis of his Presidency
Some rise to the occasion as FDR did after Pearl Harbor
Some sulk that the crisis wrecked his economy and make the crisis worse by making it political
History will not treat Trump nicely
Due to Trump, many trumpers view mask and vaccine decisions as political decisions instead of health decisions
