This is kind of fascinating:

56% of Mississippi’s population is white. They make up 70% of new COVID cases, up from 25% of cases in May 2020.

Black vaccination rates exceed white vaccination rates in MS.

Again: survival of the smartest.
So, Catching covid tends to turn black people white?

source please. I'm sure there will be better explained charts

Can’t find the tweet anymore. But I think you are fundamentally misreading the chart.

I was making a real point with a joke.
As presented, it could seem that African Americans ( I hate to call them 'blacks') and White Americans ('Caucasian' is not much better and seems deprecated as a description) are vastly more susceptible to the virus. But, of course it is not normalised by population. You mention the percentage of white population, which tries to explain where a skew exists, but in the absence of that number, there is no certainty as to what the chart is showing.
The crossover in mid 2020 could certainly use some provable explanation. Maybe some ratial event in the news, or some Trump statements like his dumb ass disinfectant speech encouraged one racial group to 'social distance' or discouraged some other group. I don't think it was vaccines as they were not available. Maybe it was more to do with availability of testing to different racial or social groups?

I just read that in my state of Michigan 15% of the population is African American and 45% of the deaths from covid in MI are African America. 75% of the state is white and 25% of the deaths are from covid. Does that mean blacks are three times more likely to die from covid than whites? The reason given was far more blacks are obese, have diabetes, and high blood pressure. This is the first time I've seen this stat but I'm not surprised. You will never see this on the Nightly News.

I've seen many similar articles on the racial disparity of deaths from covid. MOST of said articles were from April - May 2020 and the reasons I see given are similar to employment disparity and social and wealth disparity. Not obesity, diabetes or blood pressure. Actually, few explain the disparity at all.

Show your source EB, and i will show mine. We are surely not looking at the same data or time frames.

EB. Explain how that diabetes and obesity effect was pretty much eliminated by September?

https://www.secondwavemedia.com/features/covidtaskforce10082020.aspx

"Black residents have borne a disproportionate share of Michigan's COVID-19 cases and deaths, but in recent weeks those disheartening numbers have begun to turn around. Over the course of the entire pandemic, Black people represented 29% of COVID-19 cases and 41% of COVID-19 deaths in Michigan, despite being only 15% of the state's population. But in the last two weeks of September, they made up just 8% of cases and 10% of deaths."

This article actually does analyse root cause for the disparity...

"Since May, the task force has focused on improving testing, connecting people of color with primary care, contact tracing and isolation strategies, promoting safe reengagement, and the Flint water settlement."

Here's more sources: one from December
https://www.mlive.com/coronavirus/2020/12/michigan-effort-to-eliminate-covid-19-racial-disparities-working-state-leaders-say.html

Here is some source data from the state government SEE PAGE 42
https://www.michigan.gov/documents/coronavirus/20211122_Data_and_modeling_update_vFINAL_742004_7.pdf

A bit older. March 2021 Shows likely racial disparity 23% deaths for blacks being 7% of population. That 7% surely under reported.

It seems there is a greater partisan divide in death rate than racial divide

Get over the PC.

There was once a newscast here where some black woman in South Africa won some beauty contest or something. The newswriters were so PC they described her as "African American." The phones at the station went crazy.

I'm not imposing it on you.
Frankly, there should need to be no reference to ethnicity if an American is an American. But it seems that ethnicity divides you in may ways: Access to wealth, healthcare etc.
'Equal' <> 'the same'

Interesting that I only just learned the acronyms BIPOC and AIAN. We live and learn.

Anyhow, Your government says 'Black is OK, so I'll use that.'

Some people want to make a ethnicity about everything, we have one in the WH right now. We have colleges who want skin color to count on the application. But as a whole nobody is being denied anything based on ethnicity.

I just heard of BIPOC yesterday, never heard of it before as it is still in the stage of being used by just the far left.

Senate Votes ‘Yes’ to Repeal Biden’s Federal Vaccine Mandate

This is YUGE! Thank God we have Dems in the Senate who haven't lost their freaking minds. Mandates would have been a fast track to losing some of our most important freedoms. I am literally breathing a sigh of relief. There is hope for us yet.

"It’s got Main Street America scared," Senator Mike Braun said prior to the vote.
"They’re worried about, well, what does this mean on other issues? Anybody
who thinks this is a good idea, imagine the next time it happens when you’re
on the wrong side on whatever the merits of the case would be."

Exactly right. And the mandates that would have been shoved down our throats, and there would
be something else coming next and then something after that and something
after that and it would never end. And it would all be labeled 'for our own good'.
I get to decide what's for my own good, thank you.

Mandates are dead now no matter what the Poopypants administration's going to say.
The courts stopped them, Congress stopped them, they are gone. I'm shocked
at the number of people on this forum that didn't see how evil this was.
You really want to live in a country where the government tells you what to do in
your personal life? Really?

All I remember is it was on a State of Michigan official page
and I came across it when I was looking up something else.
I don't know how to find it again I don't have time to
find it again, I don't even care to find it again. I'm swamped
today with things to do around here.
