Holy crap!! Ruble went from 105.5 yesterday to 111 today. We may be witnessing the largest currency crash in most of our lifetimes. If this keeps up we might see hyperinflation soon. I am still holding a $50 billion dollar bill from Zimbabwe and I will definitely buy a $50 billion Ruble bill if it becomes available.

I have a bunch of $1 million German Reichmarks from 100 years ago that were absolutely worthless at the time and they are worth even less now..

Russia announced today that they are suspending trading of the Ruble until January. I don't think that will affect many outside of Russia but what it will do is prevent foreigners from seeing how bad the economy in Russia is collapsing.

There is a good youtube video discussing this for anyone interested.

A cup and handle formation is very bullish for the numerator currency (dollar).

Any type of human intervention is not good because free markets are the most efficient.

As an example, consider the Brazilian Real, which is not suspended from being traded.

It also has a potential bullish cup and handle formation, meaning bullish for the dollar, since it's the numerator.

Coincidentally, both the Ruble and Real are part of BRICs.

10 year chart for the Dollar to Real:

https://www.xe.com/currencycharts/?from=USD&to=BRL&view=10Y

Price is approaching a figurative cup rim (the previous high).

There we should see a major sell-off, forming a cup handle.

The down swing in price is expected to be very sharp and violent.

Price usually does this in order to gather momentum to break the seller resistance at the cup rim.

To project future price upon technical breakout, it would be the depth of the cup over the cup rim.

The depth is the largest magnitude (lowest price within the cup) relative to the cup rim.

When and if price breaks out and hits the projected price, that's the time to buy the denominator assets with the numerator assets.

So in Russia's case, they want to prevent dollars from buying their assets for pennies on the dollar.

And in Brazil's case, buy assets at the peak of the projected breakout price or right before.

I am sure everyone saw that the rebels in Syria raided a Russian air force base and took over the government. Did anyone else notice the weapons and kit the initial group used? It was clearly a Ukrainian and U.S. operation with Ukrainian special forces leading the way. The assault group clearly looked different from the rest of the terrorists and they were not wearing any branding while the rest of the rag tag group was kitted out just like you would expect rebels and we wearing their colors.

Putin appeared to be authorizing a major assault the last few weeks. Perhaps a classic attempt to appear strong while actually being near spent?

This is what I'm thinking of. "While the Tet Offensive was a military defeat for the North Vietnamese forces, it is considered a strategic turning point in the Vietnam War as it significantly eroded public support for the war in the United States, effectively marking a major political setback for the US despite the military victory against the communist forces."

Russia has been making huge moves in Kursk and throwing everything at trying to take it back before settlement talks begin. Fortunately, they are not very creative and just keeping sending forces right into the kill zones trying to overwhelm them. It is not working as they are getting slaughtered in Kursk.

Putin is already kissing Trump's ass, just listen to the speech he gave the other day. He's saying how much he understands how much Trump has been through in the last couple years and he sympathizes with him. That's kissing ass if I've ever heard it.

Of course he is, Putin wants an out without having to admit to it.

This year there were 500 suspicious incidents in Europe,” Czech foreign minister Jan Lipavský told reporters ahead of a NATO foreign ministers meeting in Brussels last week. “Up to 100 of them can be attributed to Russian hybrid attacks, espionage, influence operations.” Almost certainly, according to various sources, Russian-affiliated spies, vandals, arsonists, saboteurs, hackers, and assassins are behind many of the others. And yet there’s uncertainty in each instance about how deeply the Kremlin’s involvement goes. That’s part of the game.

The Insider, a Russia-focused, independent media outlet, reports confidently that European-based “acts of Russian state terrorism are now growing in tempo, scale and ambition…. Culprits tied to these operations have been arrested in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Poland, Czechia, and the Baltic Sea region. Their targets for arson or bombing attacks include industrial sites, defense plants, shopping malls, bus depots, and museums.”

But lacking concrete evidence of Moscow’s role in the plots, certain European nations have been reluctant to call out the Russians. “We are simply being too polite,” Danish prime minister Mette Frederiksen lamented in a conversation with the Council on Foreign Relations in July. “They are attacking us every day now.”

People don't realize that we are already involved in a world war. This war is mainly transparent to most other than the obvious physical escalations between Russia and our proxies.
