It's a spot on crock of crap. Name me one time in history where society made people happy. There was nobody 'removing the conditions' that make people depressed, people get depressed because they can't cope and it has nothing to do with the society. They could be in the best iociety ever created and they'd still be depressed. Where we are in the United States right now is a better time for people who live here than any other time in history. And yet people are absolutely miserable because they want to be miserable. Nobody and I mean nobody who works at it, who works at being happy, lives a miserable life. It's always been that way and it will always be that way.

People think they are supposed to be happy all the time. They watch TV and the problem is solved in 30 to 60 minutes. If they do not skip the commercials they see an ad for pop with people jumping around all happy after taking a sip. But reality is most of life can be a daily drag. Routine. Repetitive. You have to find something to take your mind off it. Some people find hobbies. Some take dope. Some just live it out.

But most of society is going collectively depressed. Probably because most material needs are met yet life is still boring and repetitive.

Doesn't that sound just like something old what's-his-name would post? 😉 Btw, Nov 5th is the day Ams got unsuspended, but after he saw that his little KKKamala was getting crushed, he didn't want to use his main account LOL!! 😂

Oh you should keep an eye on any new member joining this little backwater, circle jerk of a message board you people waste your time on. You keep track of when ams was suspended and when he returns. You miss him that much? Having no family, no friends, and no relationships will do that, any diversion from your sad, little lives.

"Society" is synonymous for "government," and his point is that governments by nature focus not on making the individual feel good; rather they act to achieve goals for the group at large; take collective security for example.

Governments spend a large perecentage of income on national defense and national aggression; the result is death and misery for those in a conflict, and it is this which he seems to object to.

"Why can't we all just get along?" is the question.

He seems also to correctly imply that there is something fundamentally shallow and unsatisfying about a capitalistic society where the acquisition of more and better stuff is the key to "happiness:" it ain't.

Happiness, or what passes for it, is based on positive accomplishments, e.g. "Wow, I seduced her...now to enjoy the ride," or "Wow, I was disciplined enough to save enough to buy this Ferrarii, now to enjoy the ride."

Up until not too long ago religion was used to soften the perceived pain of human existence, e.g. "when this is over you'll be in heaven forever." but now most of us realize religion is just a form of mind-fucking so now we turn to antidepressants for solace instead.

Of course the all-time analgesic is alcohol.

In short, the [human] spirit is contrary to the [human] flesh.

They oppose each other.

AOC is now saying the subways are less safe because of Daniel Penny. As is usual, she is 100% wrong. The rest of the law abiding citizens on that subway car were protected by Daniel Penny. Act like a wild man threatening other passengers and risk meeting your maker.

i wouldn't advise any civilian to use a chokehold move, unless you like the hassle of possibly being in court. If the guy dies for any reason at all, you're likely going to go through the same process as Penny.
