There aren't already 50 states in Russia, else I'd suggest he wants to make the USA the 51st State of Russia..

Soemething? What does Trump suggest? Invade and seize?
If someone that you (plural) despise and consider an enemy, goes out and buys up all the resources that you need, such as Oil, or Lithium, or 'Right of way' and they buy it up on the open market, then how do you survive? Invade and seize?

The Chinese invested a lot in their Belt and Roads policy. Let them reap the dividends. If other countries sat by idly and let it happen, then tough titty. Supply and demand. You either want it or you don't.

As a supposed civilisation, humanity has to have some principles as to how finite resources are shared.

ALL THE TIME! I’ve witnessed doctors way past their prime who definitely should be retired. VERY HARD to convince them, or the appropriate credentialing bodies.
I’m glad I retired early so I won’t have to ‘be that guy’.

In my career, I’d say the ‘sweet spot’ is between 5 and 20 years post residency for when you are your best. Around 35-50 years old.

I think I read that Mexico is looking at building a competing canal. If that happens it would be great to add competition. My guess is it would take many many years.

You don't grasp it at all. Politics is not supposed to be one's life work. People staying there become the establishment, the swamp. Do you even know what "up or out" is in our military and why they do it? I want steady fresh ideas in congress. Not the swamp we have now.
