Ed…. Come on! The House keeps passing the Republican bill. It’s the Senate which technically cannot consider the bill (due to the filibuster rules) that is preventing its passage. The Repubs won’t get to 60, nor will the Dems. The government shutdown has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with size of the Republican majority in the house.

The House can come back and negotiate and pass a bill the Senate will pass
But
They wont swear in Grijalva because politics is more important then giving the people in her district democratic representation
Are you so anti Dem, you don't want her seated
How can defend this?????
It's so anti republican
Elections have consequences

How can you still support Trump
He sucks on the economy
Because of tarriffs, it's dampening the market
Without tarriffs, markets would be zooming
How can you approve using the national guard
This hurts the economy and businesses
These people should be working their regular jobs
Not leaving places where they work understaffed just to do landscaping
It's absurd

How about Trump calling for the Gov of Illinois to be jailed
Not investigated or charged but be put in JAIL
I judge Trump on what he says and it's grotesque
How can you defend this crap

Point by point…. I want Grijalva seated yesterday! (Even sooner, actually). I feel as soon as a district is disenfranchised due to a death or other disqualification, it should be a priority to seat a new member once that member is identified. Frankly, other than a national emergency, which this shutdown IS NOT, there is no reason not to put seating the new member as 1st thing on the agenda. Hearing the gobbledegook coming out of the Republican’s mouths is pathetic.

As far as dampening the economy, the tariffs are bringing much needed funds into our stupid government that thinks it’s AOK to spend more than we take in. You can dream that the market would be doing as well under Harris. It’s really closer to a hallucination.

I’ll agree that Trump is overusing the National Guard. Good point on them being absent from their regular jobs.

I don’t defend Trump’s rankings, unless they are defensible! I haven’t read about his going after Pritzker. Humor me…. what crime is Trump accusing Pritzker of?

During the election I stated 40+% of the populace would vote for a potted plant over Trump. And 30+% would vote for a potted plant over Harris. For all Trump’s weaknesses/errors/rantings/embarassments, it’s still better than full Democrat Rule. The country knew that, and that’s how they voted.

Those funds wouldn't be needed if the GOP didn't pass the OBBB.

I, once again, point out the economy has done better under Democrats than Republicans since 1992. It isn't hallucination if it's actually true. Believing otherwise is delusion.

DOnny threatening to jail the Mayor of Chicago and the Governor of Illinois is front page news, above the fold in all credible press outlets. Chalk this one up to SooPoo being uninformed, as usual.

May they all have the days they voted for.

They are! Market SOARING under Republican majority. Illegals being deported, and more importantly, fewer entering. DEI, a clear form of racism, being eliminated. Help sent to crime riddled Blue inner cities. Hostage crisis looks like it’s ending. Just got my free COVID/Flu shots despite everyone telling me I wouldn’t be able to.

MTG may be.a Democrat soon. Fetterman a Republican.

As far as me being uninformed, of course I’m uninformed on some things. I try and avoid reading most of Trump’s incoherent ramblings! I mean, it’s just another example of ‘lock her up’ from a decade ago.

I’m having a flashback…. Towards the end of my career I was required by my hospital to watch a DEI training video. It was so ridiculous and an abject waste of time. I felt like an hour was stolen from my life. A disproportionate percentage of the people I worked with were LEGAL aliens, and people of color, and LGTBQ, and I worked with them no differently than those that didn’t fall into such groups. Around 1/2 of my patients the same. They were all treated the same.
That’s what DEI should really be. No advantages, but no disadvantages, either.

Trump's lawyer that he got to prosecute Comey is clearly proof that he has no regard for eliminating DEI, including many of his cabinet picks.

So you support legal immigration, people of color, LGTBQ persons and are pro choice...but you won't for a candidate who supports the same Got it!

People are having the day they voted for! Farmers teetering on the brink of bankruptcy, Chrsto-fascism on the rise, consumer prices stubbornly high, infectious diseases on the rise, healthcare premiums due to increase by triple digit percentage. Have the day you votef for!

Am getting what I voted for. And loving every minute of it!

Sorry you voted for the candidate who promised paid sex change surgery for inmates and didn’t get it. Maybe in 2028.

Yup. I voted for candidate who shows compassion for her fellow man, especially those that live on the margins. You voted for a man who wishes to persecute anyone who doesn't look like him. Well done.

You voted for the dei hire who has compassion as long as you look right or sleep with the right people.

I voted for the guy who cares about everyone and is bringing peace around the world.

Yes I did do well.
