You can't make this stuff up! Unlike Trump, it appears she actually engaged in fraud. For those of you not in the mortgage industry, calling a place a 4 unit vs. a 5 unit is fraud as there are different underwriting rules for a 5 or greater unit since FANNIE and FREEDIE don't buy them.

This seems like the exact same Lawfare type case Trump was convicted on. I’d guess technically she committed a crime, but the odds of her being actually prosecuted for this offense if she was not a Trump hater approaches zero. I’ve disliked her for quite some time. I won’t lose sleep if she gets convicted. Like Trump, she won’t see the inside of a prison cell.

I think this prosecution is the definition of ‘what goes around, comes around’.

Prosecutors looked at these cases and determined the evidence is weak or doest exist
Trump doesn't care because he is vindictive and has declared to the planet that all his perceived enemies are guilty
These cases should be dismissed simply due to Trumps public statements tainting the jury pool
All communication between Trump and the new prosecutor regarding decisions to prosecute should be subpoenaed to prove vindictive prosecution
If evidence is destroyed, that's criminal
It's insanity
He is demanding that the Governor of Illinois and Mayor of Chicago be jailed
He can't deal with Dems elected by the people
He can't deal with the consequences of elections

P.S. The mortgage fraud charges deals with the property that she purchased in Virginia. What you described happened in New York and she has not yet (unfortunately) been indicted for that fraud.

It is not the same at all. Only similarity is it involves real property.

She went after Trump because she claimed he "inflated the value of the property he took a loan against." Now, his lender did not request charges, she just went after him. The loan was not even defaulted on. This is proof of the lawfare. Now, to value a property like his is a long process and lots of customized valuation. It is not like when you sell your home in Amherst and the appraiser gets info from Erie county about similar homes that sold nearby. You have to take the land value then the value of the cash flows and value from potential cash flows then both sides negotiate this and that. All the books will be looked at inside and out.

As I said many times, if you indict Trump for "inflating his value" you need to indict every person who ever refinanced a home, because everyone tries to do it. Trust me, I used to have to argue with them about it, and you would not believe what some people claim.

OTOH, she among other things claimed a 5 unit building was a 4 unit building. Big deal you say? It IS a big deal. Because a 5 unit building is no longer "residential multi family" but it is an apartment building. More customized valuation is needed (see above) and the bank can't package the mortgage for sale as easy (watch "The Big Short" to understand this part.) The bank might have to warehouse the loan on its own books. When a residential mortgage has a flaw and has to be warehoused there is hell to pay (ask me how I know!)

Would they have caught it if not for her lawfare campaign? Maybe, maybe not. If she defaulted then absolutely.

If so she has nothing but her TDS to blame.

I agree it’s a ‘vindictive prosecution’ at Trump’s behest. But that IN NO WAY means she is not guilty of the charges. If it goes to trial, it will be up to a jury of her peers to decide her guilt or innocence. If you are using the ‘tainted jury pool’ argument, I don’t recall you using it during Trump’s prosecution! Likely the most tainted jury pool in history! The allegations against him were daily headlines, with hoards of Democrat politicians taking to the soapbox on a daily basis!
As far as Biden having no input, that’s just conjecture. You don’t know it to be true. I don’t know it to be false. But I 100% believe that James prosecuted Trump to make a bigger name for HERSELF!

If Pritzker is found to have obstructed the lawful work of the ICE guys, because he doesn’t like the Federal laws they are upholding, isn’t that a crime? Like if you tried to physically prevent the arrest of your mafia kingpin friend, isn’t that called ‘obstruction of justice’?
Once again, if Pritzker is charged with any crime, it won’t be Trump who acquits or convicts him; it will be a jury of his peers. Frankly, I’m fed up with ‘sanctuary cities’ that prevent Federal laws from being enforced. It seems ‘insurrectionist’!

Trump didn't actually stand trial for all his potential crimes. I think he would have been convicted on everything that went to trial. What kind of sentence he would have gotten is another matter.

Part of our Constitutional due process rights that SooPoo apparently wishes to take away from us is no political interference in criminal prosecution. Donny and his cronies are coming perilously close to violating that rule.

We definativly know that Biden had no roll whatsoever in the prosecutions of the DOJ during his administrations? Why do we know this? Because there is no evidence for it, and nobody has seriously alleged otherwise. IF you're going to throw doubt, Scott, least you can do is provide some proof. You can't.

Is Pritzker physically preventing ICE from doing their job? And no, preventing Ice Barbie from taking a tinkle in a state building doesn't count.

Sanctuary cities and sanctuary states don't prevent the Feds from enforcing Federal law. Cite some examples and prove me wrong. I dare you.

It’s not completely impossible Russia sabotage has come to the US. They’ve been doing various attacks of different kinds in Europe.
