When I was in a private practice I just looked at it as OVERALL I made what I considered a very fair income. Not officially, of course, but your insurance probably paid me a little more BECAUSE THEY essentially subsidized the uninsured, and more so, the underinsured, (Medicaid/Medicare).

As I’ve said before, if we were starting from scratch, then yes, it would make sense for everyone to get healthcare for ‘free’. But the government has proven to me to be a disaster at managing Medicaid/Medicare/Workmans Comp. I have ZERO confidence that anything improves with the government in charge.
