First problem is you do not grasp that you get paid for your value not your needs.

Second problem is most people do upgrade their skills. A local casino here will pay $10/hr to learn to deal! QSRs will train you to be a manager. Trade unions have training for free. Get on at a good restaurant as a server and you can clear a couple hundred a night in tips. Then there is side hustling. That is endless.

If you wait for Kamala to give you a raise you will still be at the bottom. It will just be like a building where the bottom floor is labeled "3" instead of "1."

What you do not grasp is I'm talking about actual history of no minimum wage. That's why I said we tried it before. It goes along with other labor laws that came about. In and of itself it wasn't enough.

It didn't turn out well. You'll just provide kindling for labor movements, stronger unions, and even moves towards communism or socialism.
Trump is not a genius; you're just dumb.

Jobs that aren't worth at least this much aren't jobs that are worth having.

That is the attitude of a very lazy person who has never run a business.

Sometimes a person or business could use someone for some small thing. Like how car washes all used to have a few guys wiping down the car when it came out. But this job does not warrant $15/hr. Meanwhile, there are hard up people, usually kids, looking for *anything* to make a couple extra bucks. They could be getting a start in life. Or we could have some low-end work still done in the USA.

And again, you get a raise by making yourself more valuable, not by whining that the minimum wage needs raised.

That is probably the best most succinct way to express it.
At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent.

Not in Geno’s world. The gubmint tells the employer what an employee is worth.

The biggest joke is that ‘only X% make minimum wage’ so it can’t be that inflationary. But in the real world, when the bottom now is GUARANTEED Y, I can assure you, those who were making Y before the minimum wage was raised to Y now feel they ‘deserve’ Y + (some$$) And since the burger shop has to raise their prices to pay for the added wages, bam, you have inflation. I think the wage pressure on prices is WAY UNDERESTIMATED.

You missed the real thing. Loads of union workers are paid to an index of federal minimum as their minimum. Say 3X minimum. So raise MW $1 they get $3. And those union dues go back to Democrat campaigns, which as we saw with Kamala are full of skim.

SO how much has the burger shop raised their prices to reflect a minimum wage? I keep asking, and the no-minimum-wage people can't give an answer. You know why? The actual answer works against their argument. Go ahead. Prove me wrong. Have I annoyed you still?

If Trump or anyone else goes after elimination of minimum wage, we can make Kamala Harris dictator. That's how unpopular it will be.

Your self-deprecation is noted. But you shouldn't refer to yourself as a brick wall. Not good for the self-esteem.

I can discuss NY. Just looked it up. Minimum wage now $16 an hour. So a ‘$5 footlong’ from 2019 is an $8 footlong now. As far as ‘proving’ you wrong, I can’t ‘prove’ it. I can, however, use common sense. That the added cost of the 7 Subway sandwich makers is an extra $42 an hour, that Subway tries to make up by….. RAISING PRICES. Sometimes, as with my nearest Subway shop, the MARKET does not allow for enough sales at the higher prices. So the store CLOSED. And those jobs that the kid wanted? Gone!

That’s proof enough. I’m guessing rather than trying to really understand, which in this case is REALLY simple, you’ll try and obfuscate with more questions.
