Trump’s pen can now end the Schumer shutdown. What did the Democrat’s accomplish other than inflicting pain on a diverse group of their constituents? NOTHING. The House/Senate can now debate the ACA. LIKE IT ALWAYS SHOULD HAVE BEEN. Johnson’s decision to not negotiate with terrorists worked perfectly.

There will now be debate on the ACA subsidies. And a vote. So it will be clear who either extended the subsidies or who killed them. And a year from today you can vote out someone if they didn’t do what you wanted. LIKE IT’S SUPPOSED TO BE.

Stupid Democrats causing immense harm for NOTHING.

It was a craven capitulation by the Dems. But, they earned points with the electorate for standing up to MAGA, and tat should pay dividends during the midterms.

So what prevented Thune from offering the accepted deal in the beginning?

I'm definitely not voting any Democrats out for the shutdown. Trump does worse about once a week.,

I thought it was a moot point...won't the big beautiful bill basically kill it in its tracks?

They earned points with the mentally ill TDS radicals. Middle America not so much as Middle America does not want government health care for illegal aliens.

The republicans should be ashamed of themselves for including this provision:

Bipartisan funding bill would allow senators to sue over government searches of their phone records

I agree with Fox News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett

It's the retroactive application of the provision I strongly find offensive.

Yowza. Flea and me agreeing on REPULSIVE Republican add on to the ‘open the government’ bill. Even a bunch of Republicans are already trying to team up with the Democrats to rescind that part.

It’s a reason I wish most bills were done SEPARATELY. This add on stuff never seems to be in the public’s best interests.

MAGA is on the way to looting the US Treasury.

First Trump wants over a quarter billion for "damages" to his ego for having been accused of impropriey, now this abomination.

If the Republicans objected so much, they would have stripped it from the bill before passage.
