UK citizen tries to grab a police gun to shoot Trump.

Idiot. Especially in the light of the death of the UK member of parliament Jo Cox being shot last week.

(Edit: hopefully this doesn't mean they'll be a ban on Brits into the USA....)

Do you know for certain this wasn't the first step in an attempt by the British Crown to reconquer the American Colonies?

It is the first step in the retaking of the USA. It is a distraction to take attention away from the coming main invasion on the Mexican front.

The Germans were stupid enough to send the Zimerman telegram to Mexico via the US. Don't expect a super villain like the current UK PM (whoever he is) to make the same mistake and leave a smoking gun. Surely they use only WhatsApp on iPhones.

I couldn't possibly comment.

Yes, it would be quite a loss if Ms. Ekland had to leave. I enjoyed her performance in the Bond flick "The Man With the Golden Gun":

Well Britain has voted to leave the European Union, 52% to 48%

I'm quite happy I've already voted to leave Britain, I guess. I didn't vote. I don't live there anymore, so it's not my say. I think it's a bad move over all, but time will tell.

I suspect the pound will now tumble, and the financial markets in London will be rather unsteady for a while. As the UK was not part of the single currency, they've kept out of the way of many of the problems with the basket case economies in the Med, but with many of the advantages of being part of a large trading block. The leaders of the Brexit campaign are odious weaselly men... they are like Trump, if you removed all of his charisma and most of his business acumen. I am sure those on the right will sing the praises of it all happening. I suspect the real winners will be the consultancy companies who'll end up being brought it to manage the exit.

Good for the Brits--they made the right move!

They have gotten the short end of the thing and they simply want their country and it's sovereignty back. 52% are clearly tired of the idea of a borderless world and some star chamber in Europe making their decisions. Maybe we get lucky and the rest of the EU falls apart.

Despite the warnings of the chicken little globalists, trade and life will continue. Markets will indeed be unsteady for a bit, making good trading opportunity. Already some are trying to equate it to their very own Trump kind of movement. Lines are being drawn, and the no-borders folk might be seeing the first of many backlashes to their agenda.

A clear sign that an accent doesn't make people smart...

I wonder, though, if Britain would countenance letting such parts as want to remain break off from it.

As Cameron says he'll resign, I wonder if he'll be succeeded by someone in the other party. it would be a hoot if the successor, managing the exit, decides to negotiate Britain's stay in the European common market.

Not, he'll be replaced by a member of his own party. The Conservatives have long been split over the EU question. There may be a new election called, but I doubt it. I fear that they (edit: I don't live there, so no we) get the Oxbridge buffoon, Boris, whose more changeable than a weather vane.

The border change will have significant effects in Ireland, as the open border was a huge part of the peace process.

Scotland will claim for independence again, I think.

As for open borders, only within the EU... Many on the left think the problem with the EU was the excessive border controls.
