Yea but its a prime example of poor police work

I didn't say it was. Guy was probably on edge what with all the BLM Nuts in the new lately. But I was asking what is wrong with using GOOD police work to find a suspect instead of tramping on the rights of innocent folk. Please answer and discuss.

Because some police are too incompetent to find a suspect among open carry people
The police officer that the shot the mental health care worker is a prime example of that incompetence
I support the police chief in Dallas and his stance on open carry.

So you are saying that an incompetent government official is a reason to take away the rights of the population?

What other rights are you willing to give up because of an incompetent government official? Would you be in favor of not being allowed to drive your car the night before Thanksgiving because some cops can't tell if someone is DUI?

Not just an imcompetent government official
A person that has to make life and death decisions every day among the public
Its a real real hard job being out in the public being a police officer
I support non racist honest officers which is most of the police force
If this makes their jobs easier, I am all for it.
I support the Dallas police chief. I listened to him. He makes a lot of sense.

Administrative convenience is hardly a reason to surrender rights; cops do not like an armed citizenry and it has nothing to do with the circumstances described by the Dallas police chief which even if true are certainly rare.

ALL shootings: SEE a weapon, (not a cell phone, tv remote or toy truck) see your target. know what will happen if you miss your target (the chief in the background, pregnant woman, man on ground with empty hands held aloft, etc.) Fat autistic child sitting on the ground crying erratically and playing with a toy truck is NOT a threat, traffic has been stopped, holster weapons, let the therapist get up and deal with the situation while the cops watch. Whats so difficult about that?

Report of a gun? Yeah, citizen reports particularly from that neighborhood are about as valid as a statement from the IRS or the check being in the mail. All citizens being upstanding, careful observers who never exaggerate or jump to conclusions.

So then you agree your position is that if a government official is incompetent then rights should be taken away? Many government officials can make life and death decisions, btw.

Since searching a person's home without a warrant makes their job easier. should we get rid of the right against unreasonable search? How many of your rights are you willing to give up?

nope, just want to help out the Chief of police in Dallas
In the type of shooting that happened in Dallas, I agree with the police Chief.

Nope. The chief of Police in Dallas made no mention of this hindering them during the shooting in Dallas
I support Dallas Police Chief David Brown and his views on open carry
It was his officers that got killed, I put a lot of weight on his views on what can be done to help the Police in these types of incidents

How did open-carry hinder the search and takedown in Dallas?

we don't know who the good guy is versus who the bad guy is if everybody starts shooting!"
Was the Dallas cop really stupid enough to say this verbatim? When in the history of the Texas police has everyone been shooting? When since the Alamo? And then they were only shooting Mexicans, so that really wasn't a problem in Texas.

When since hamburger hill was everyone shooting? Is this over dramatic fantasizing fascist on drugs. I want him drug tested immediately and if he is on anti psychotics of any kind or anti depressants I want him dis armed before he starts shooting everyone he sees shooting. Whack job.

I know a guy that did 6 years in prison in Texas for having weed paraphenalia for smoking weed, just an empty pipe. Six years in prison, probably ass raped. Why don't you go on down and give him your support?

The Dallas Police Chief.

"It is increasingly challenging when people have AR-15's (a type of rifle) slung over, and shootings occur in a crowd. And they begin running, and we don't know if they are a shooter or not," Brown said. "We don't know who the 'good guy' versus who the 'bad guy' is, if everybody starts shooting."

Seeing multiple people carrying rifles led police initially to believe they were under attack by multiple shooters.
