Some cops are such control freaks they don't listen to anybody
They evaluate a situation ignoring anything a civilian says

All the cop had to do was listen to Mental Health worker and he would have put down his gun and walked over
Instead he ignores the logical explanation and shoots to kill the mentally ill guy playing with his toy

What do the police do searching for armed killers in a crowd of open carry gun nuts?

Dallas police already said that the incident where police were killed, open carry hindered them in trying to find who fired

This is one of the reasons I am against open carry, it only hurts the police ability to find a murderer

If open carry disables your ability to identify an active shooter, you have no business going about your day in public, let alone being an officer. News flash - the guy with a gun on his hip isn't shooting anyone. I suggest paying attention to the guy with one in his hands firing.

That whole scene is crazy. "Trying to hit the autistic guy". Whatever in the f#$% for? I've seen active shooter scenarios where the guy was quite obviously an active shooter. Even then he's not always shot out of hand. This fat kid is sitting cross legged yelling at his handler with no aggressive motions anywhere, unless you consider leaning towards and yelling at someone a threat to life. And Mr handler man is yelling that he's health care. He's prone with hands up. What in all of the f#$%s is going on?

Chief Brown Dallas Police said, "It's increasingly challenging when people have AR-15's slung over and shootings occur in a crowd and they begin running and we don't know, or, we don't know if they're the shooter or not ...has been the presumption that a good guy with a gun is the best way to resolve some of these things, well, we don't know who the good guy is versus who the bad guy is if everybody starts shooting!"
