Tried watching Bridgerton on Netflix and lasted 15 minutes. Oh my dear God have they lost their minds? Has wokeness corrupted everything? This piece of crap is set in 1831 and the sets are gorgeous and the costumes are gorgeous and the production values are fantastic. The story is stupid, the acting is atrocious and it's complete historical fiction. The Queen of England was black? Half the aristocracy was black? No it wasn't, none of it was in 1831. In England the slaves were not even freed until 1833 and even then they were still non-citizens or treated that way. This rewriting of history has got to stop because it ignores how people were really treated. People will watch this I think it was really this way. I guess that's the point.

Downton Abbey got it right. In the entire run of the show there was only one black guy in it and he was treated like a second-class citizen. They were appalled when he showed up as a musician at Downton. That's the way it really was. And that's why Downton Abbey is so good because it prided itself on historical accuracy in everything.

You should watch Hamilton. You’d love it.

Unless there is a claim of accuracy to the subject, there's no sense going on about inaccuracy. "Spinal Tap" was made like a documentary, but was too outrageous, (even for rock n' roll bands) to be taken seriously. (then again maybe it wasn't that outrageous. : )
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

What do you think would happen if they remade the Godfather of Harlem with an all-white cast. You know what would happen.

What is Bridgerton a remake of?

EB got tricked into watching 15 minutes of a show with minorities and he’s gotta let us know how unhappy he is about it!

People who want accuracy in a historical drama, that's who.
If you're seeing a period piece set in 1831, it looks flat-out
ridiculous to have the Queen of England be black. Or to
see the aristocracy all dressed up at a ball in and third of the
people there are black and blacks and whites are dancing
together. That wasn't even happening in 1931 let alone1831.
t's political correct wokeness rewriting the past which never
does anybody any good.

Bridgerton is like Netflix’s 2nd most popular series ever, so it’s certainly doing SOME people good. 💰💰
