Here's a tutorial video on what not
to say to an atheist, FrG. I'm betting
you don't watch all of it.

It's to tedious to watch all the way through.

Imagine if they made a religion out of the Arthurian legends. It comes complete with magic and miracles provided by Merlin, and plenty of historical documentation.

FrG hasn't posted since Tuesday, has he finally
realized I'm right and he's wrong? I told him he
was in over his head, I tried to warn him. I'm a
charitable secular person.

Sorry, had a brief retreat in Maine. It was my first time in that interesting state. Quite beautiful and nice people with no traffic jams. Got some real Maine lobster and whoppie pies. Thought I would have internet access but I didn't. Nice break from Evenbob's craziness.

"Pope Francis has opened the door to the canonization of Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta. He did so this afternoon, Dec. 17, when he recognized the miraculous cure of a Brazilian man that took place at the end of 2008."

So an old woman who's been dead since
the late 90's reached out from her grave
and healed somebody. And in 2015 there
are people who actually believe this
happened. And happens. Not a shred of
evidence, just a coincidence, but it's taken
as rock hard truth by the Church.

The mind not only boggles, it questions
the sanity of some people in the modern
age of science. Like Nareed suggested,
maybe it's time to throw out the 'truths'
of wandering ignorant nomads from
thousands of years ago, and find some
truths that actually make sense.

This saintly woman interceded from her place in Heaven to show the reality of God and the power of His love in the this miracle. You should look into the process of approving these miracles they are quite stringent and I am sure you will be impressed about how it is researched and investigated. There are many doctors and scientists interviewed and questioned to make sure there is no human or natural explanation for these miracles.

I'd be far more impressed, did I not know that's also how people "investigate" UFOs, Sasquatch, The Loch Ness Monster, and so on.

It's just the Church up to it's old tricks.
It's what they always did when they
couldn't explain something. Burn a
witch, it must be her fault, or make
somebody a saint, makes sense to
us. If you can't explain something,
let superstition take over. Nice to
see that still rules the Church in the
modern age.

There is nothing superstitious about these real miracles. We can explain it, it is through the love of God and the intercession of the saints. It is you who are dumbfounded in the face of such facts and since you have no explanation you chalk it up to superstition or just ignore it. Oh well, I can't help you there.
