The reasons being given by the administration for Comey being fired have changed.

The method used follows the same pattern as the Muslim ban - president wants to do something, asks for advice justifying it, then claims to be following those recommendations.

That is how it works in the real world. CEO knows what they want done, but ask the specialist in the area the tech reasons. When I was in management we always had people to call on, usually in HR or technical services. In HR I knew when I wanted to clip someone. I knew there were many reasons to get rid of the person, but I also knew you needed the right "legal" reason. So I called one of two guys who's job it was to guide me. I actually called one or the other based on what I needed to do. One of the two never wanted to fire anyone. You had to prove the guy shot JFK to get an approval to dismiss. So I called this one if my boss was on my tail but I wanted to save the person. The other said, "what do you want to do here?" If I wanted to fire the guy would go over things and help me build my case. So I called that one when I wanted to fire someone.

In other words, nothing wrong with asking the expert for justification reasons. Normal in the real world. The lamestream media and politicians of course do not live in the real world.

Have you seen his approval numbers?

He has any?

The Comey matter is very simple: Golden Boy fired him because he was the one directing the investigation of his campaign with Russia.

Now, obviously the FBI will keep up that investigation.

For now.

The next FBI director may be the Orange man's lapdog, who'll do only what he's told. No more, no less.

That's why there's a need for an independent prosecutor right now. Before the whole investigation gets quashed.

Yeah, there is a difference between having legal reasons to do something and then making sure you do it the right way, and wanting to do things based on illegal reasons and cooking up a legal justification in an attempt to cover it up.

Who says Trump wants to do something based on illegal reasons? Comey was incompetent and after the Hillary email pass had lost the support of the rank and file under him. Until he was fired, Democrats also wanted him to go. There is nothing illegal about firing someone who serves at the pleasure of the POTUS but is not fit for his post.

As to legal, is it legal for an FBI Director to start and maintain an investigation of a POTUS when there is no good reason to do so?

In two weeks it will likely all be forgotten and Trump will troll the lamestream media yet again on some other issue. Lamestreams keep falling all over themselves to find a scandal where there is none. Democrats keep wanting to yell "IMPEACHMENT" because they thing them not liking a POTUS is an impeachable offense. Eventually the public will totally tune both the Democrats and lamesterams out, even more than they have already.

Maybe in your alternate reality. Here on Earth it was true. The pass he gave to Hillary had agents upset up and down the line.

It's funny. I was just reading an article about how right wing media is pushing the false story that FBI agents had lost faith in Comey after he cleared Hillary and then I come here and AZ is pushing it too!

What a coincidence!!!

Seriously, this is just insane.

You really need to get your head out of the right wing media bubble.

I rarely even watch the news. You are in the lamestream bubble. Ever ask yourself why Comey would be investigating Trump yet did not charge Hillary for allowing a homebrew server to be hacked by the same Russians who supposedly colluded with Trump? She clearly committed a crime, all they have on Trump is liberals said it must have happened.

Nah, I'm sure you haven't. I am guessing you still believe the Russian hooker story admitted to be false. Are you not tired of being trolled?
