Rasmussen was by far the worst
.

Five Thirty Eight released the rating
on pollsters last month. Out of 14,
Rasmussen was in the top 6. But it
was very close for all of them,
except the bottom tier. The best
were Marist, Emerson, SurveyUSA.
The worst were TCJ Reasearch,
Survey Monkey, StrategicVision,

Rasmussen was on a par with Zogby
and Harris. But the difference in
the top 7 was just splitting hairs.
They were all under 1.0 in accuracy,
including Rasmussen.

Complete and utter B.S.

Saying a president's impeachment will help his reelection is one of the dumbest statements I've read on this board (from a non-troll member).

History of an unpopular impeachment:

"After his impeachment proceedings in 1998 and 1999, Clinton's rating reached its highest point at 73% approval. He finished with a Gallup poll approval rating of 65%, higher than that of every other departing president measured since Harry Truman."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_image_of_Bill_Clinton

There have also been numerous folks out there who are saying that impeachment will help Trump get re-elected and, of course, those who say it will not.

If you believe the numbers on Clinton, who was more popular than Trump has been, you would likely conclude that he would have won a third term after impeachment in spite of an actual and proven crime having been committed--perjury. While that doesn't necessarily carry forward to President Trump, it at least shows the possibility that his popularity will increase after impeachment and, assuming he is not convicted, removed, and barred from seeking further office, could help him in his bid for reelection.

And Clinton was guilty of actual crimes,
not made up BS like Trump is accused of.
So far Trump has not been shown to commit
even one crime. As Turley pointed out at the
hearing, at least Clinton and Nixon had
done crimes both sides never argued
about, they were beyond doubt.

Quite frankly, your inability to understand the quite simple concepts about why his impeachment will help him win re-election is the dumbest thing that has occurred on this board. I do not believe there is a single non troll member, whether they support Trump or not, that does not at least understand the reasons why impeachment may help Trump. The Democrat leadership has been acutely aware of this, why can’t you understand?

Clinton did little to make himself unlikable during his impeachment. He certainly wasn’t throwing tantrums every other day.

In the context of this discussion, President Trump is still being President Trump. He throws tantrums and people like/dislike those. They have already made up their minds on that issue. President Clinton wasn't a different person during his impeachment...he was still the same.

It is pretty simple, really. There is a possibility that this process could help the President win in 2020. Calling that possibility "dumb" and dismissing it outright while tossing some troll comment out there is...dumb.

He does? I missed them, could you give
examples? If you mean his tweets, how
by any stretch of the imagination are
those 'tantrums'?

There's a new book out by a WH insider
that totally blows up any rumor that
the WH is in 'chaos' all the time and
that Trump goes on rages. He says
it's a quiet well oiled machine, the
opposite of what the press reports.

I doubt if Trump even believes that.
