Based on your answer I am guessing none of them have an Academy Award. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent. |

SAG awards are certainly more important than Golden Globes, for precisely the reason you mention. It’s fellow actors voting for the best at their craft. For the Oscars, “The Academy” is made up of actors, writers, directors, cinematographers, sound designers, etc. You have to be invited to be a voter in the Academy. For the nominations, only members in that particular area’s vote count (i.e. actors pick the five best actor nominees, cinematographers pick the five best cinematography nominees, etc.) and then all members get to vote for the winners in each category. I’m certainly not compensated to review movies. That said, it seems like critics have generally unfavorable views of roughly half of the movies I like, and generally favorable views of roughly half the movies I don’t like.
