What right do you have to be against two people who love each other getting married? And why are you flooding the forum with multiple posts on the same subject? The President is a fink. |

Social conservatives love underage marriage as long as it is "straight". Look at much of the middle east, the bastion of social conservatism, being gay is illegal, but 12 year old brides are applauded. Normal moderate people have nothing against any adult consensual sex, but people love to go to the extremes on either side to prove that they are pro-marriage or straight.... |

The Middle East is the defintion of Social Conservatism, specifically Islamic countries. Strong forced families, male-dominated societies, traditional values based upon religious law.... Oh, and no drugs, alcohol, or gambling as well. Islamic countries are about as socially conservative as you can get. |

Tennessee is a non issue State. Most States don't take Tennessee seriously when it comes to Politics. This would be really bad if this came from one of the more seriously taken Politically States like New York or California but Tennessee is definitely not on the radar for being taken seriously Politically. |

Male dominated has nothing to do with social conservative. Forced families has nothing to do with social conservative. Social conservatives are fine with a few drinks. Fine with a little gambling as well. Actually the middle east societies remind me more of liberal values. Except instead of the religion of government and global warming they follow islam. I still do not see why you are upset that two people who love each other cannot be married just because of age. The President is a fink. |

Tennessee is a pretty big state. I was pretty shocked to read that the republican party there supports child marriage I have to imagine all the conservatives on this board as well as liberals are against child marriage Its just one of those issues everybody can agree on regardless if conservative or liberal. Child marriage is wrong Yet its the republican party in TN that is fighting the child marriage ban Any comment by conservatives here?
