Or the Single Taxpayer, renting an apartment, making $60,000 a year that saves over 20% in federal taxes under Donny's plan?
Their federal taxes went from $8,145 to $6,505 between 2017 & 2018.
It is always about how the rich got this big tax break.
You've heard the narrative, "65% of tax reduction went to the top 10% of taxpayers".
Well the top 10% of taxpayers pay 70% of taxes, so of course when you cut taxes for everyone,
the people paying 70% of taxes are going to get 65%-70% of the savings if you're counting that in absolute dollars.
So now we want to take away the Trump Tax cuts for the top 10%, keep the tax breaks for the middle class family &
spend all this money on social programs that the 10% won't be able to take advantage of, sounds like socialism.

My IRA
It just grows and grows
All dividends reinvested
Yea its all taxable if I take a withdrawal
But
I may never withdraw
I may never see those taxes collected
And
Who knows what the rate will be in the future
Its just my emergency fund
My plan is to never ever touch it
Just a backup that hopefully I'll never need

Ed, in my taxable account, I do NOT do DRIP, or dividend reinvestment, because you have to pay tax on the dividends in the year you got them. It also makes it complicated to figure out your cost basis, if you sell some shares to get some money. Once brokerage accounts started charging no fees, I stopped doing dividend reinvestment entirely, with the single exception of the one mutual fund I have in a retirement account.
