I'd beware, they'll go along with death panels for the likes of you and me, yep that too I'm Still Standing, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah [it's an old guy chant for me] |

I don't know what death panels are so they must not be talking too much about it. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent. |

It was the anti-Obamacare scare tactic in 2008-2009 that Obamacare would have death panels to decide who was worthy of treatment (and hence who would die). "Death Panels" was a media term (very hyperbolic and not true). Little do people understand, we already have "death panels", they are called private insurance authorizers.... |

DoubleGold Member since: Jan 26, 2023 Threads: 30 Posts: 2506 | They disguise the "death panel" phrase. It seemed to me, all of the sudden, "quality of life" was the phrase used by the medical profession instead. If a person could not be made healthier and was getting in worse condition, a hospital group decides to conserve the resources available. They then commit the person to a "hospice" classification. It's a negative term similar to the word guillotine to represent death. The way some justify sentencing others to death, is their quality of life selling points. That way, the hospital group (and associated personnel like nurses, doctors, etc.) can sleep just a tad bit better if they're not already numb. They claim being alive with pain is not as important as being alive without pain, even though pain medications are available. That could be why we exited Afghanistan where they grow opium. We might not have ever left Afghanistan if it weren't for the death panels. |

A whole lotta Fox News- level conspiracy BS in this post. With no sources to back it up. You know that old saying: “Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one!” “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |
