We’ll just have to grow more. Oh right, we can’t. Wheat, corn, soybeans and everything else. Farmers can’t afford the 300% increase in fertilizer costs, and they can’t get supplies anyway, thanks to the railroad limiting shipments. Too bad. Small farmers might be forced to sell, but BlackRock and Bill Gates will be there to buy their land at a discount. Farmland and crops are a very effective hedge against inflation. Could not be planned better, if it was intentional.

Science will save us
Norman Borlaug
Just visited his institute. The World Food Prize in Des Moines
He won the Nobel Peace Prize
The man who has saved more lives then any other person
Iowa is all about the science of agriculture
Bill Gates is all in on science
This is great news
I learned so much about the advances in agriculture the world food prize institute
Fascinating
We CAN grow more

Solving it with pro-fossil fuel policy is what is going to be done, no doubt. That's as good as putting out grease fires with water.

Speaking of the infant formula shortage, 192 Republicans in the House voted against the $28 million bill to address the shortage.

Why???

That screen shot is fake news. The bill iwas passed with only nine Republicans voting against.

They wanted more. The bill is intended to make it appear the dems are doing something to resolve the shortage, when it is nothing more than cosmetic. The bill allows low income women to buy more baby formula through the WIC program, but does nothing to make more formula available to the general public. It not lift restrictions on shipments from foreign nations, that would put more product on the shelves.

"Rep. Roy said: "The only way to get more formula to American families is to fix the crony policies that prevent more U.S. companies from producing it, remove barriers to innovation, and allow imports from trusted nations; the legislation Democrats put forward does none of that."

This started three months ago.

When CBS asked Buttegeig what he was doing about it, last week, he responded, ‘the government does not make baby formula’.

Didn’t know that. Thanks.

Biden still hasn’t suspended tariffs or lifted the restrictions on ingredients from trusted trade partners.

I don't know if injury attorneys have anything to do with extremely strict FDA regulations on baby formula. But that sounds like a real money making lawsuit if you can blame the forumla makers for injury or death.

This is the path to the dark side.

Fear leads to hate.

Hate leads to suffering.

Suffering leads to the Biden administration.

Step 5: ?
Step 6: profit?

WRONG

Usually you are better researched than this, Tanko.

There were two bills.

Quote:
One of the bills passed by the House Wednesday evening – HR 7790 – would provide $28 million in emergency funding for the US Food and Drug Administration in an effort to help alleviate the current shortfall and head off future shortages. The bill was approved by a tally of 231 to 192.

The House also passed HR 7791 – the Access to Baby Formula Act – introduced by Democratic Rep. Jahana Hayes of Connecticut. The final tally was 414 to 9. The bill is aimed at ensuring that families in need can continue to buy baby formula with WIC benefits during a public health emergency or supply chain issues such as a product recall.

Yes, those sneaky Dems knew the Rs would object to a bill that was *actually* pro-life.

The absolute horror of those Republicans who don’t want to give the FDA millions in funding without attaching oversight to it.

The FDA is part of the problem. Money given to them should be directed and overseen.

Pelosi dropped a partisan bill and got a partisan result for the most part.

A bipartisan bill would pass…but the less intelligent or more “we do everything right” faction of the Democrats will say Republicans want to kill babies.

That is actually the Democrat position…
