The Ukrainians need a symbolic victory, like we has with the WWII Doolittle raid on Tokyo.

It would likely be a suicide ride for a pilot, but have a Ukrainian Mig fly nap of the earth to Moscow then bomb the hell out of the Kremlin or other target.

There are missiles that can do that, no need for a pilot (who likely would not make it close anyway). But, there are two issues:

The ethical issue, is, the ethics of a strike that will mostly kill civilians (yes that is what Russia is doing, especially right now in Kiev), but too wrongs do not make a right. (And, yes, I am aware in past wars, especially WWII all sides used this tactic endlessly, still does not make it right).

But, it would also lead to escalation. Putin does not want the reality of war hitting too hard. This is why there is such heavy censorship (and yes its not working great, and in many ways is counterproductive as censorship generally is -IE to more you tell people not to look into something the more they naturally do-). But, if bombs started falling, Putin would not be able to keep up the facade (even if just in his own mind), and things would escalate.

Either way, between missiles and drones, there would be no need for skilled pilots to risk themselves to certain death, especially when actual pilots can do a lot more good right now in Ukraine where piloted craft can be put to use, hopefully countries get themselves together and get more planes to Ukraine soon and stop the fears that this (just delivery) will escalate.

In either scenario the most important thing in the short term is actually getting proper aircraft to Ukraine and the EU and U.S. are stalling hard on this and making endless excuses....

Biden is just hoping that Russia hurries up and wins so it will go away. He has no intention of doing f-all that would stop it before Ukraine is destroyed.

It appears that Russia is trying to pass "reforms" that will allow them to seize and nationalize any company that boycotts buisness in Russia and leaves property behind (IE Russia will take over stores and factories that remain).

This is almost a step back towards the Soviet Union
(nationalizing and removing all foreign entities).

Ukraine's looking for volunteer soldiers. Stop grousing about the USA and head over there. A slow moving target will probably save a Ukrainian life or two.

There is nothing wrong with volunteering for a cause you believe in. I think it's commendable that so many people are giving up their jobs and families to fight for a country that is not theirs and they have (in many cases) no connection to at all.

Remeber, before America and the U.K. were involved in WWII (And before it was WWII), many Americans, and others volunteered in Eastern Europe and with the Chinese to fight Japan. So it's not unprecedented for people to want to get involved before their country is willing to.

(Also, some volunteered to fight Russia in the Finnish invasion before Russia became an ally, in fact there are some parrels to now with the Winter War).

And, you can go back to WWI and similar scenarios.... (America was very late to the party and many Americans wanted to help directly).....

Or stay here an criticize and administration that is doing poorly.

I don’t know why people threatens to leave the country (and usually don’t) when they are not happy when the government instead of making an argument for their point of view.

No one need volunteer to go to fight in the Ukraine just because they feel Slow Joe is doing a terrible job being a leader.

Biden’s poll numbers on Ukraine are quite good. (Remember how you righties are obsessed with poll numbers now?)

Sounds like sour grapes from you, as usual.

I'm telling our complaining Canadian to go volunteer if he doesn't like what we're doing. Has nothing to do with what you said.
