Ukraine should not give up any territory in exchange for peace.

The longer the war goes on the better for them (and for us). We are able to completely put Russia into disarray by sanctions as long as rhe war lasts that are destroying normal life for Russians.

We are basically forcing Russia to become Communist again (State is taking seizing and control of foriegn business and land), which is great we are polarizing them into an extreme, where they will be known as what they are.

Ukraine can only lose by giving up, the more damage Russia does, the worst for Russia, and everyday that it goes on the worst for Russia.

Over the weekend Captain Poopypants, when he wasn't trying to fondle a local girl and tell her she had beautiful eyes, Captain Poopypants told us with a twinkle in his eye and his fingers crossed that this is Ukrainian War would go on for months and months. Oops. Even as we speak Russia has withdrawn a huge number of troops from the Kiev area and peace talks are majorly underway. Russia has saved the ruble by demanding that anybody buying any kind of energy from them, we're talking billions of dollars, they will only accept the ruble as payment which means the ruble is saved. The outcome will be the land bridge to the Black Sea, and major territory in the East taken over by Russia which is all Putin ever wanted. It's why he never shut off the electric in Kiev or even shut down the internet. My Christian sister-in-law has a Christian friend in Kiev and she gets daily updates from her on Facebook. Power never went out, they go to the grocery store every other day and there's groceries on the shelves. So Russia won just like I said from the very beginning that Russia would win. It's ridiculous to think any other way. They are a country with hundreds of millions of people attacking a country with under 50 million. The outcome was a foregone conclusion.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

Hmmmf. Cringeworthy indeed, but so what?

If you have to ask 'but so what' that in itself speaks volumes.

Wrong.

Russia wanted the entire country, not just the E / SE sections.

It was the unexpected heroic defense by the Ukrainians and the unexpected support from NATO that turned the tide.

There’s another scenario that could play out, but I hope it doesn’t. That’s if the west looking at the costs of supporting Ukraine fighting to take back territory, decide to start pressuring Ukraine to settle with Russia before they regain lost territory. We’re already well into Ukraine not being able to fund their own resistance. Much of their economic infrastructure is already heavily damaged. So, their continued fight will be more and more dependent on others.

No doubt Putin is shocked to his soul that he couldn't even take Ukraine

The Putin apologists on the right (ie Glenn Greenwald) are now claiming he never even wanted to take Ukraine.

Imagine a political opponent and former US President calling for dirt on President Bush from Saddam Hussein during the Iraq conflict, or one calling for dirt from Hitler on Roosevelt during WW2?

Are we at war?

I think it is an inappropriate request though we are trying to avoid WW3; it is not in progress at this point. We are still at peace. Maybe on the edge, but at peace and fighting no wars.

Didn't everyone want Russian dirt on Trump while we were also not at war with Russia (though we were involved in a war)?

Again...your example is faulty. The nature of the request is inappropriate in my mind, but not nearly as much as if your example was actually true.

It's not even remotely appropriate thing to do for a leader we're currently trying to cripple by sanctions, and providing arms to defend against his illegal invasion, who is probably by definition a war criminal. And has created a count of 3.5 million refugees fleeing their homeland.
