I sure would hope a 10 year old girl who got pregnant from rape wouldn't be forced to carry the rapist's baby to termand give birth to him or her. Alec Baldwin's gun should have been CGI. Would have prevented the tragedy. Facts. |

Shouldn't an accused rapist have the exact same rights as the woman that was raped? At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent. |

You may be conflating accused with guilty. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent. |

So in a case with a 10 year old, sex = rape. A 10 year old cannot give consent. If someone were to want parental rights in such a case (hard to believe that would happen), they would have to admit to sleeping with the 10 year old, no? This is a gray area in some cases. Such as say a 13 year old having sex with his 10 year old girlfriend and getting her pregnant. It's more cut and dry when the guy is say 25 and forcing himself in a 10 year old against her will and getting her pregnant. Alec Baldwin's gun should have been CGI. Would have prevented the tragedy.
