Dems think the country is much better off without McCarthy as speaker.

There is not one that comes to mind. I have listened to many thoughts but no one has articulated a reason why the Democrats should not have voted the way they did.

Nancy Pelosi supposedly said that she would support McCarthy but the death of Senator Feinstein and escorting her body back to California meant that she was not around to see what she would have done.

I'm okay with the one person moving to vacate rule...it was that way before Pelosi and should remain that way. If you have a slim majority, you just have to be great at counting the votes. In time, we'll see what happens with a new speaker but the bottom line is that these shenanigans don't help the Republicans and any shutdown that the Democrats can reasonably blame the Republicans for, since they get the more favorable media coverage and stick to provided talking points better, will be a problem.

We'll see where they spin it this week and next...and then what happens next.

I am reading the book Breaking Biden. Good God, how did somebody who's so clearly nothing but a fraud in a con man make it so far in politics that he's in the White House. It's frightening. He makes whatever Trump's been accused of look like a girl scout selling cookies. It's embarrassing that he kept getting reelected how stupid are the people in his district. Well it's all catching up to him now as it usually does with people like this. Like Abe Lincoln said, you can fool some of the people some of the time, but trying to fool all the people is going to get you ridden out of town on a rail.. Or something like that..

I doubt that he would ever face 90+ counts or even 4 indictments. He may not ever face any charges. Neither he or Trump have been convicted of anything.

I'm not yet convinced that President Biden actually did anything illegal but I am all for the full investigation. I am also not convinced that the Justice Department has done a full investigation of the whole Hunter Biden thing, which is what could lead to Biden. I am convinced that the "Trump appointed" Special Counsel was also fully supported for the position by then Senator Biden. So who is he loyal to in the end?

We'll see how it all ends but I am still 100% in favor of both of them getting out of the arena for differing reasons.

Um, Joe was neither VP not US Senator when the Trump admin appointed the special counsel. Nor was Joe in any office when Weiss was appointed US attorney.

Another fact the Biden Crime Family crowd has gotten wrong...
