It might not. Each count on an indictment can have its own sentence. In fact, they usually do. It's just that a conviction for, say, five counts of fraud with a sentence of 5 years, can be done with 5 concurrent 5-year sentences. So the convict serves 5 years. The other option is to make the sentences consecutive, so the person serves 25 years. Judges have a lot of discretion, though, so I don't know what determines whether sentences are concurrent or consecutive. Many countries have a maximum prison time law. In Mexico it's 40 years (for one sentence; if you're out after 40 years and commit some other crime, you can be sentenced to more prison time). I've no clue whether any states in the US have similar laws. In places that do, a sentence can be a million years, but if the maximum is 4o years, they have to let you out then. I wonder, too, whether some ultra-long sentences are reduced on appeal. Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |

Fleastiff Member since: Oct 27, 2012 Threads: 62 Posts: 7831 | Oh, no... its pure utter bunk. I'd have never thunk it. It seemed so sensible. Now don't get me wrong, I sure as heck know that there is no fish that leaps out of the water and swims up a cascading plume of urine into a man's urethra, I mean not even if he is standing knee deep in the Amazon would that happen. Yet, I had been told and believed that there were these tiny fish that followed the smell of urea up into the urethra and made themselves to home there complete with hooks, barbs, etc; the fish being used to enter the gills of other fish following the secent of urine. Now I find out its all poppycock. Ain't no such fish at all in the Amazon. Disillusioned I am. I tell you, disillusioned. |

Pretty sure you would have to keep in a two stage formula. You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really? |

Clever. But what if your universal solvent is a non-magnetic liquid? Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |

I thought of that, but would it work in this case? With some powerful computer program you could possibly control a liguid with multiple controlled puffs of air from hundreds (or thousands) of small tubes to suspend it. Sounds extremely difficult, but it would be something today's computers might be up to. You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really? |
