Recently I have been watching old episodes of The Price is Right from the 1970’s on PLUTO TV.

It’s shocking how expensive many consumer goods were during that time.

Not adjusting for inflation, the cost Household items, furniture, appliances, etc are about the same (or even more expensive) than what these items cost in 2020.

There's a Swedish study that supposedly shows that weighted blankets are very effective on helping someone sleep. Only thing is, my air conditioning bill in the summer would probably keep me awake with all that extra insulation. Maybe a net of lead would work as a substitute.

Just went up on my roof without incident.

Two people around here I know fell off their roofs and got hurt recently. You have to wonder what it was they didn't foresee, they're both smart enough to know to be careful. Maybe I should be grateful the incidents made me extra careful, in particular it occurred to me that not only do you need to be careful with the ladder positioning and all that, but you need to be sure you can get back on the ladder when it's time to come down. Sure enough getting back on the ladder seemed like the hairiest part.
