In the 50's it was the W of O, I was scared
to death of witches for years after that.

So much you dare not say the full title? I agree that movie was pretty scary. I was especially horrified by the scene of the witch melting. The flying monkeys would be second. Whatever actress played the Wicked Witch did an outstanding job. I heard she was actually the last major actor of the movie to die but could be wrong. I'm sure Paco will confirm or deny shortly.

Same here. We watched it for several years when it came on and it scared the begeezus out of me every time.

People laugh about that now. The shower scene in Psycho
terrorized people for years, they took baths for decades
and not showers. Scary is an acquired taste, if you don't
have much experience the smallest thing can be scary
to you.

When you still believed something might grab your legs before jumping into bed, or things were in your closet. That's when you'd be scared out of your wits by "IT".

With three monster R rated hits this year, "It", Logan and "Get out" you would think the year would be on a record breaking spree to break the $3 billion earned by R rated films in 2013.

Unfortunately, 2013 had a lot more mid level R rated hits. So they are only up to $2 billion in 2017 with only three months to go.

But with the relatively low budget of those three films and their huge box office, you can bet there will be a pile of R-rated films next year.

People asking what movies are truly scary? None of these IMO. Movies like The Shining and The Ring are kinda creepy, but we know they're fake and therefore not scary. What scares me are reality shows like 60 Minutes sometimes. They aired a story twice this year now telling of drones that use AI to target a single person in an entire town. Swarms of tiny drones unleashed on a town to find a terrorist and can communicate with each other to locate him and kill him without the aid of any human being overseeing the action. Freaky sh!t, man.

Tonight's episode of Vice on HBO had a story of how easy it is to hack you and steal your identity. The host visited a hacker convention in Russia and was hacked before she even met anyone for the story. The hacker got her info, called the hotel desk to have an extra key made, went in her room when she wasn't there, set up simple cameras to watch her enter the room safe to get her laptop/tablet/cell which they could clone and gain access to her banking info and clean her out or steal her identity and get loans in her name and whatnot. Also had another story of how viruses mutate and can spread worldwide to cause epidemics like Zika, etc. Scary stuff man. Keeps me awake more than any silly made-up horror movie.

Watched that.

They drop hundreds of them from a high flying plane.

When they reach a certain altitude they activate and start self organizing, like a giant mini invasion force.

From the ground you can see specks and hear the sound of hundreds of tiny electric engines squealing.

Then, I guess if you're the target, you'll be dead shortly.

They are both cheap and reusable if retrieved.

How do these mini drones kill someone? The little toy ones at Walmart only fly for a few minutes and can't carry anything.

Finally saw 'Trumbo'. Holy crap, what a great movie.
No wonder Brian Cranston was nominated for
an Oscar, he's brilliant as Dalton Trumbo. I know
a lot about that era and this was spot on.
Great cast, the 2 hours flew by as it does when
a movie is so much better than average.

It sounds like you would have to retrieve them with a wagon.
