Original Sin?

So you think that the notion of Jesus Christ being born of a virgin would have been believed in Joseph was around answering people's questions by saying that he is the real father of the child? Along with the NT, which has been shown to be true and is by far the best record of what that area and Judaism was like during that time period, you also have to use common sense.

Someone mentioned there - Mary had an immaculate conception so that she could be born without original sin so that Jesus could be born perfect and without original sin.

Why the extra step? Why couldn't Jesus have had the immaculate conception?

The NT would be believed if there
was evidence that what's written in it
is true. There's none. Zero, zip, nada.
We have no idea what was said outside
of urban myth stories written 80-300
years after the events. To believe any of it is
a fools folly. You believe it because you
have an obvious agenda.

My bro in law has a Church that he filled
with believers so he could 'work' 20 hours
a week and indulge all his hobbies in
the free time he had. He would deny this
emphatically, but I know him too well. He
loves being paid for doing almost nothing.

As you know some of the NT letters were written just a decade or so after these events. There is lots of evidence that it is true. It is historically accurate and geographically too. The teachings of the NT have led billions of people to new and better lives and a real personal relationship with God.

However you sort out the technical details, there has to be Jehovah DNA inside the embryo Mary brings to term. Also if Mary was Jesus' mother and not just his incubator, then there has to be Mary DNA in the mix as well. So even if there was no actual sex involved, Jehovah/Jesus (they are the same person, no?) committed incest with his own mother, then was born from her.

Nareed, please think about this for a second. Remember that the Trinity is Three Divine Persons that make up One God. Jesus is true God and true Man consubstantial with the Father, but He is not the Father, nor is he the Holy Spirit. This is no incest and it is kind of embarrassing you keep pressing this.

Oh that is right you read some book that claims all of the sudden there are things we know about the NT that we have missed for 2,000 years. Give me a break. Obviously if you are still thinking the NT was written 80 years after the events of Christ this book has taught you nothing that is true. Why is that you never want to revisit things that we have talked about? It gives new people a chance to join in and discuss with us and hopefully both of us would have learned something more and have more to say about things. Don't just close off the conversation and your mind because you have no answers.

No you can find the notion of the Trinity in the Old Testament. But I am glad you recognize that this avoids the incest charge.

Again such a poor misunderstanding of the teaching on the Eucharist. The fullness of Jesus Christ is present in the Holy Eucharist. You love cooking don't you? You but your heart and soul into a meal that you provide for your guest. Jesus gives us Himself completely in the tangible form of a spiritual meal so that He literally is truly present in the most intimate way. You are what you eat as they say, and when you invite Christ into your life and receive Him in the Eucharist it is not just the bread and wine that is transformed but you are as well.
