I hope you are right! Pre COVID I’d go to NYC every December and stay at the ROW hotel. In the news it’s being billed as a luxury hotel but it is not. Just a plain nice hotel that was $$$ less per night than the conference hotel, the Marriott Marquis. It’s now a temporary shelter! Probably $300-$400 a night. NYC tax dollars going bye bye!

I used to stay at the Marriot Marquis in Times Square for my business trips to NYC. I loved the revolving bar on top.

I was there once, weird thing was check-in was on something like the 6th floor. Had my management staff with me. Woman who managed my service department was in awe of so much of the city. But she would have been a mark on her own. Talking with a street vendor who is being cagey about this picture she wanted. Eventually she asks, "What are you saying" and I say, "He said he has 20 more just like it in the trunk of his car there." Guy looks at me and just agrees, seeing I am not about to put up with street huckster nonsense.

The facts are simple. Democrat mayors and governors don’t give a rats ass about the costs and problems associated with illegal aliens until they are in their jurisdiction. The mean Republican politicians are doing a beautiful job of exposing that hypocrisy. A few busloads of illegal aliens arrive in NYC and the mayor says he needs BILLIONS of dollars in aid! Texas takes in the equivalent of those busloads on a daily basis.

Why not put up a illegal alien shelter within a mile of every sitting US Senator and see what their response is!?!?

You care WAY more about this issue than the average American. It’s all you can talk about lately.

Most non-brainwashed-by-Fox people don’t give a damn.

I always thought it would just be a good idea to put the immigration issue to a popular vote with the understanding that those that voted to allow them to stay would agree to pay their prorated share of the costs and those that voted against it would not be responsible for paying. Let's see how the vote would come out then.

We would be in a much better place if we could just put some hot-button issues to a nationwide popular vote (I.e. abortion, marijuana legalization). Alas, that is not the country we live in.

Darn, more cancel culture.

Quote:
Lara Logan, formerly a CBS News reporter and more recently a frequent Fox News guest, went so off-field on former Fox News host Eric Bolling's Newsmax show Wednesday night, Newsmax said she is no longer welcome on the right-wing network. Bolling brought her on to talk about immigration, and she ended up "pushing QAnon tropes, invoking blood libel, and fear-mongering about a 'global cabal' planning to 'dilute the pool of patriots' in the United States," The Daily Beast reports.

"Newsmax condemns in the strongest terms the reprehensible statements made by Lara Logan and her views do not reflect our network," Newsmax told The Daily Beast on Thursday. "We have no plans to interview her again."

See, I thought the whole purpose of anti-cancel culture was not to judge whether anyone is raving lunatic who can't provide evidence to be platformed for everyone to see.

Guess I was wrong.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

I agree with that. Whichever way you vote you have to financially back it out of your personal income.
